At Long Last... Modern head unit!

Kicking around the idea of swapping out the factory stereo again. Right now, seems like the best options are: 1. The isudar unit. Keeps the stock stereo, takes away the stock nav, and adds carplay. Pretty cheap, too. Biggest downside is it just uses the aux cord for audio in. I'm not sure...

    Lr4 Brakes

Ferodo are supposed to be the OEM pad, so you should be good there. When I did my front brakes in April, the Land Rover-stamped rotors had about 45,000 miles on them. I installed those in October 2018. Although they had some wear, they may have been able to keep being used if not for the fact...

    Lr4 Brakes

Posting in this thread as I believe it's probably the most comprehensive thread on brakes for the LR4. (Heck, the first post is in 2011.) I changed my front rotors and pads back in April, about 3,000 miles ago. I had been running OEM Land Rover rotors and Hawk pads. I used Hawk pads again...

Unfortunately, I think your engine sounds like this.

Oil changes on an LR4 are the easiest you'll ever do. Get a Mightyvac and look for threads on here or videos on youtube and you'll see what I mean.

A 2013 will ostensibly have the updated design of the timing chain guides. The updated design is still known to potentially go bad, but if the previous owner(s) kept the oil changes to a reasonable interval (6k to 7k miles instead of the Land Rover recommended 15k), then you could be good to go.

Question about Suspension Faults and Blowing out the lines

Dessicant dust from the compressor dryer gets in the lines. It's normally what fouls the valve blocks. That, and the seals drying up and wearing out over time.

Question about Suspension Faults and Blowing out the lines

2012 LR4 currently sitting at 127,600 miles. I've been getting some suspension codes that have been popping up every few days. C112F-72 (AF) Air spring valve - Mechanical failure - actuator is stuck open ( on 26-07-2023 11:10:17 at 205367 km ) C1130-66 (AF) Air spring air supply - Algorithm...

Tricking the air suspension to come on?

The keyfob trick is what I would recommend, but keep in mind your doors have to be shut for it to work.

    Suspension Fault — Temp Sensor?

Mine wasn't the temp sensor; it was the exhaust valve sensor. Here is my post when I discovered the problem: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/some-suspension-fault-codes-this-morning.40813/page-8#post-211798 Anyway, could be the same thing with you. I have no idea where the temp sensor...

    Suspension Fault — Temp Sensor?

Speaking from my own experience, pull the compressor and make sure the wires are fully plugged into the sensor. How many miles are on your LR4? How long have you owned it? Echoing what the earlier poster said, Hitachi compressors were phased out around 2012 or 2013. My guess is yours has...

Range rover sport control arms on LR4

I have never heard this before. A lot of the Rover supply places sell the same part for LR4s and LR3s.

    LCA Skid Plates

Dang. The google listing for APT Off Road says they are permanently closed. https://www.google.com/maps/place/APT+Offroad/@-27.4775694,153.1003995,15.3z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x6b915eacb58c03e7:0x7c7bf3b6ef671cb1!8m2!3d-27.4743864!4d153.1089945!16s%2Fg%2F1tdxw5xr?entry=ttu One of those places I...

Normal Ride Height Only - Cant Figure it out

Not to pick nits, but just want to make sure we know what's been done. There is no right rear valve block. There is a rear valve block, and it is above the driver's side rear wheel. Is that what you meant? Have you cleared the codes? is the C1A34 the one that comes back first or is it the...

    LCA Skid Plates

Only by the thickness of the plates themselves. So probably around 1/4". I always thought they were kind of a joke but I've actually got caught on my a-arms while off road before so now I see the utility.

Tactical 4x4 Bumper vs Honda Accord. And the Winner is???

Dashcams are easy to wire in an LR4. There's an age-old thread on here by @umberto where he details how to splice the power wire into the overhead console lights.

LR4 - Is there an equivalent in ride/driving experience?

I think this new GX is essentially the Prado chassis (and also a slightly modified version of the LC 300 chassis), so I think the new Land Cruiser would just be a slightly different body. Guessing a Wranger/Bronco competing 4Runner would be on the same chassis, too. Would be cool if they...

LR4 - Is there an equivalent in ride/driving experience?

The rear hatch is the main thing I don't like so far. But it certainly appears as if it's got the new Defender right in its crosshairs. The MPG is also a little disappointing. Thought the new turbo drivetrain would do better than 17 mpg combined. Other than that, it looks good. Front...

    Mechatronic Replacement

There's a channel on youtube that goes into detail on these transmissions. It's a BMW-oriented channel, if I recall correctly, but the transmission is the same once you are in there. Access is a little different, but @Rover Range explained that.

LR4 - Is there an equivalent in ride/driving experience?

Agreed. I love G-Wagons, but there is no comparison in ride quality. They are also a bit smaller inside than you would think. Not as much shoulder room. The one thing that the G-Wagon's driving experience beats out the LR4 on is the seating position and view. And that is certainly saying...

2013 to 2014 Face Lift Headlight Install

All correct bulbs should have the filament in the same spot, meaning that you shouldn't have to re-aim your headlights that much after replacing bulbs. You sure you installed the new bulb correctly? Also, bulbs should probably be replaced in pairs, and not one at a time.
