    Dreaded rear hatch actuator issue!

You can buy the cheapo switch off amazon that I linked in that thread and plug it in to see if that fixes it. Two things about that switch, though: 1. It does not accommodate the backup camera, and I'm guessing you have one. So if you use it, you'll have to splice wires or otherwise...

    Dreaded rear hatch actuator issue!

There was a thread on this just the other day. In that thread I linked a much more informative thread where I went through my troubleshooting procedure when I had the same problem.

    LR4 brakes soft/hard

Bumping this thread. So what is currently the recommended brake fluid? Going though this thread (and other threads it links), turns up the possibility of this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009SNFBV8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 or perhaps this...

    Dreaded rear hatch actuator issue!

If you go back and look through the powerfuluk youtube channel, they identify a much cheaper Ford part that is the exact same part as the rear hatch actuator.

    Dreaded rear hatch actuator issue!

You'll have to replace it sooner or later. Might as well make it now.

More Tailgate Drama...Upper gate pops with FOB but does not release

I know I said it in the post I linked, but the wiring for the tailgate actuator switch is shockingly frail. I had never dug into the wiring before and had never been in a wreck and my wiring somehow lost continuity. When I replaced it, the wiring felt really brittle and delicate.

More Tailgate Drama...Upper gate pops with FOB but does not release

I had the same thing happening. Turned out to be a bad wire connection. Yours could also be a bad liftgate actuator switch. You can read my posts about troubleshooting my problem here: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/lr4-tailgate-not-opening.40021/page-4#post-238337

    Air Suspension head scratcher

That rear valve block is a bear. I found that removing the spare and working part of the rear valve block from under the rear of the vehicle helped.

    TOYO AT3 255/55/19

I would say that most of the people on this forum who are running the Toyos are running them in the 255/60 size. Probably the tire I'd go with if I was still running my 19-inch wheels.

    LR4 Headlight turned Amber?

Don't cheap out on headlight bulbs. Aside from brakes, they are probably one of the more important safety features you can control. I believe the Osram ones that @hickersb was talking about are these...

    LR4 Battery charge

I bought this a few years ago: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CD44RQO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 It comes with a harness that you can permanently bolt to the battery leads so that when you use the charger there's a simple electrical connection you can clip into place...

Camshaft Sensor and Low Oil Level..

Something I should add to this. I live in Kansas City. There are some hills here, but nothing severe. It's mostly pretty flat. When I go to Colorado, though, I notice how much harder I have to be on the engine and transmission, just to negotiate the mountain passes. So while I have 130k...

    Air Suspension head scratcher

You pull the fuse and the whole vehicle falls? That tells me it's something in the middle, but I'm not sure what given all that you've replaced. Something you can try that I saw on the LRTime youtube channel when they were searching for a leak: they could only see a leak in the front...

    New (to me) 2012 LR4 5.0

I bought new Timken hubs for mine in August 2018. I haven't needed them yet, but I have a habit of buying parts long before they are needed. I've held off putting them on because my originals have been fine, and I've read horror stories of people swapping them out to find that their new ones...

    New (to me) 2012 LR4 5.0

How many swings did it take you to get the old hubs off? I've always liked how the Atlantic British video shows five swings with no progress, then cuts to the next step of the job.

    Wheels and Tires?

For the 19" wheel, they are probably the best all terrain tire you can get. For the 18" wheel, I'd look elsewhere if you are shopping for 265/65/18 size. The sidewall on the Toyos is rated too low in that size for the LR4.

Okay, I read through my troubleshooting I went through with some suspension issues. Here is the thread: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/some-suspension-fault-codes-this-morning.40813/ One of the codes I was getting was the same that you are getting. Looking at that thread, I had...

Best roof rails and roof rack?

All I know is that the supply of the older one seems to have dried up a long time ago. My guess is production issues. The new one looks like it can be made at a machine shop, then shipped to distributors several on a pallet. The old one required a welder on a jig, and shipping was probably a...
