Best roof rails and roof rack?

The only reason the flat racks appeal to me is that they are typically a lot lower profile. I certainly like the more traditional roof-racks, but the LR4 is a tall vehicle even when stock. The parking garage at my office is only 6'5". I just barely fit in as-is in standard height with no roof...

Best roof rails and roof rack?

Looks like Prospeed redesigned their roof rack. https://prospeed.co.uk/pages/expedition-roof-rack Their instagram shows the box it ships in. Looks like it comes in pieces similar to what I believe the Frontrunner rack does. Then you assemble it like an erector set. Not sure about...

    Preventive maintenance advice- 2016 LR4

Yeah, it's worth doing the front crossover pipe and water pump around every 60k miles. Not sure why it would be swaying. Only thing that would cause that would be worn shocks or a broken swaybar, which are both extremely unlikely at your mileage.

Well, that sucks. The show must go on...(long story)

Maybe, that I don't know. Guess I misunderstood what you meant in my quoted portion. Seems like the previous owner gave the previous dealer the "aint got no money" directive, and the previous dealer threw it all back together as quick as they could, quality be damned. At least by getting all...

Using third row map lights as extra cargo lights

Along these same lines, I have thought about installing some good aftermarket lights in the cargo area, most likely putting them inside the trim on the inside of the liftgate. But then lately I've been buying magnetic flashlights that I just turn on and stick somewhere appropriate when needed.

Well, that sucks. The show must go on...(long story)

They wouldn't have messed with the chain guide bolts when they replaced the coolant pipes. Coolant pipes are on the exterior of the engine; chain stuff is inside the front.

    Weird Noises

Check your dust shield for your brake rotors. Mine has gotten bent slightly before to the point that it rubs. Strange thing is that it's never a constant rubbing. Seems like a turn or something sets it off.

    ARB dual compressor mounting?

Over the last year, I've used the compressor here and there and have found it extremely handy. I've never gone back and redone the wiring. There's a chance that one day I install a Switchpro or something similar, so may wait until then before I start cutting the wires. The few times I've...

    Intermittent heavy steering

It's LR071147. I know it because it's another part I have sitting on my shelf waiting to install. I had a symptom similar to the OP, but mine went away when I got new tires. Strange, but if it works it's not dumb.

ARB Dual Compressor - EAS Hack?

That's where I have mine. https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/arb-dual-compressor-mounting.30463/page-5#post-231262 Never got around to making that video though...

    Landrovermerriamparts.com gone?

The dealership is still there. It's the only Land Rover dealer here in the Kansas City metro. It normally goes by the name "Aristocrat." I have noticed, however, that the parts website is gone. I could never buy from them because they always had some weird policy where they claimed it was...

    TPMS settings with IID tool

If you buy sensors with the correct frequency there is no programming that you do. Just drive and they start working. Conversely, if you buy sensors with the incorrect frequency you cannot reprogram them to make them work.

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

That must be one of the more informative reviews ever left on Amazon.

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

CA647588 originally with AMK (I think). First compressor was replaced at the dealer, so it's conceivable I originally had Hitachi and got switched to AMK.

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

Hard to say. You could figure out what year yours is and use that. 2011 is the fuzzy cutoff. Prior to that, Hitachi. After, AMK. I will say that the the aluminum bracket underneath makes me think AMK. Hard to know if it was reprogrammed to work with whatever compressor is in there. If it...

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

If you want a genuine one, buy from the UK. LRDirect, Advanced Factors, etc. Prices are considerably cheaper than the US and shipping is sometimes even faster than getting it from the US.

Yeah. I guess you have to trust your feelings and use the force.

    Upper control arm prices

This video makes it look not too hard. I bought the parts a few weeks ago after I watched it. Of course, motivating myself to actually do the job is something else, as I don't really think I need it done right now.

    Upper control arm prices

I just bought the parts from Advanced Factors UK. Lemforder (which I gather is the OEM supplier) plus hardware for $260 to my door in about 2 days. You can see if anyone will let you supply your own parts, which may cut the cost considerably.

Any way to tell if timing chain/guides/sliders are original to vehicle?

And the customer, who bought the warranty, and is now having to pay out of pocket for the job to actually be done (assuming it wasn't). Only problem with a fraud claim is that the dealership's insurance policy probably does not cover intentional torts, so OP would have to bring some negligence...

Any way to tell if timing chain/guides/sliders are original to vehicle?

Why not? OP bought a warranty, and it's costing OP money to actually do the job down the line. All the elements of fraud are there, and (I'm assuming) multiple state consumer protection act claims.

Any way to tell if timing chain/guides/sliders are original to vehicle?

If the job was supposedly done just a few years ago, look to see if the timing chain guides are the updated part. It's been around since it was used in the LR4 starting in 2013. New part looks like this: With the wear point now having a steel button (bottom of the guide in the above photo...

2012 LR4 Reluctant to lower from off-road suspension mode

The main valve is called the reservoir valve block. It's right above the EAS compressor. I believe the air goes out there, but I'm not sure. The intake for the compressor is located inside the driver's side rear quarter-panel, accessed from inside the boot. Again, I'd just recommend letting...
