    Interesting Overland setup

If you're just planning on mounting a rooftop tent up there, I'd recommend mounting directly to the roof's hard points - you can save a lot of weight up high. I used FrontRunner's vehicle mount rails and some custom brackets to attach my RTT - saved 80 lbs of rack that would never be used. As...

    Hidden Winch Recommendations

I bought the Prospeed one; it's well made. I haven't completed the installation yet the top of the winch fouls on the Adaptive Cruise radar on the 2014+ model.

    Interesting Overland setup

It's a Voyager Racks carrier. It's odd... half of it is well designed and half of it is poorly designed. The good: The pivot is extremely solid with two thrust bearings used in the design which is great. I also love the latch they use - it's a lot more subtle and OEM-feeling than most of the big...

    Interesting Overland setup

Goose Gear make some of the highest quality drawer systems. They don't yet have a dedicated baseplate for the LR4 (I have heard one is in the works though), but their generic plate fits with only a few minor modifications. Their camp kitchen is an awesome way to hold a stove and fridge.

    The XLifter EAS Controller

Hey John, I bought a pack of these, cut down the power cable that came on the XLifter and re-terminated it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LF1193N/ No regrets at all in making the change, the install is super clean and doesn't waste a lighter socket.

Part Number for Front Door Lower Sealing Rubber

Does anyone know the part number for the horizontal strip of rubber that goes under the front doors? The rear doors are CGE500031/CGE500021: https://parts.landrovertampa.net/Land-Rover-LR4-Left-Lower-molding-seal-strip-p/cge500031-115956.htm I called the local Land Rover dealership but they...

[FS] Genuine 20" 5022-style Wheels in Excellent Condition (set of 5) - $500

I'm selling a set of genuine 20" 5022-style Land Rover wheels. These came fitted to my 2015 LR4 and were removed at the 16k mile mark. Four are in mint condition, and one has very small marks on it. None have curb rash. Four of the tires need to be replaced and one is brand new/unused. They're...

Any Dash Cams you particularly like for being inconspicuous / ease of install?

The cigarette lighter pack it comes with is pretty large; I broke the case open in the hope of hiding the circuitry somewhere, but ended up going this route: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U2DGJD2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Any Dash Cams you particularly like for being inconspicuous / ease of install?

I installed a Garmin Dashcam (because they're tiny) and took power from the moisture sensor on the windshield.

That's insane. Surely you could pick one up from a wreckers for a quarter that.

    Showoff Your LR4

Yeah, it's the blind spot monitoring sensors. The Voyager mount doesn't completely cover the sensor, but the pivot is very close and I suspect is causing it to have issues (it determines that the sensor is "blocked" and switches both sides off and throws a warning on the dash). I'm going to try...

Park sensors work fine. The passenger-side rear blindspot sensor has problems with the swing-arm pivot placed where it is. I haven't had a chance to try and fix it (and am not sure if there's anything that can be done). I'll provide photos and details on how I fix/improve the gas strut once...

Yep, it's the Voyager carrier. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but there aren't too many other options out there today. The arm itself is decent - the pivot uses two opposed tapered roller bearings, and I like the catch they used. On the other hand, the gas strut design is awful, and the studs...

Anyway to add apple carplay to 2015 RRS?

I'm planning to provide a full review soon. As super quick feedback, I've found the WiFi model to be a bit flaky. I'm going to convert it to USB/cable and keep testing to see if that's any better.

    Nav Screen Head Unit Dead

Yep, I’m planning on putting together a short review post soon. Was wanting to get some more experience with it first. I did go the wireless option. Very occasionally it has problems connecting, but on the whole it’s very convenient. As for responsiveness, it’s not bad. I’d guess the update...

Anyway to add apple carplay to 2015 RRS?

I’m pretty happy with my NaviPlus install. It’s a bit flaky at times, but so much better than the factory nav!

    Goodbye stock side steps!

If anyone wants the factory side steps from a 2015 LR4 and is in/near Seattle, let me know! I'm planning to take them to the waste center this weekend.

    Nav Screen Head Unit Dead

I just finished installing the NavPlus unit in an LR4. Overall, I'm happy with it and it's great being able to use CarPlay in the car - really modernizes it. I feel it's overpriced though - it should be more around the $500-600 mark.
