    Another Defender hint?

This is the main reason I could never buy the new D110. I have not seen it in person (where I would be carrying a tape measure) but the photos especially with 2nd row seats up clearly reveal its reduction in cargo area versatility, which is quite ironic IMO. The rear door access gap width also...

    Random misfire on multiple cylinders.

Why not the coils when in there? Had misfire on my bmw, replaced the cylinder coil in question from code reader, fixed. Once confirmed that was the issue, I also replaced the remaining 5 and new plugs. Accelerates faster now under boost. I think I'd gotten used to the reduced power until it...

    LR3 starter: DIY replacement completed

Having done it with a hurt wrist from an MTB crash I figured more clearance would be useful, also being the first time and not knowing what was where. Ironically the two electrical fittings were far easier than expected which were the main reason I wanted more working space.

Has anyone here supercharged or turbocharged their LR4?

Mercedes AMG G55 supercharged is what you want ;) Have bottomless pockets, G63 twin turbo, truly incredible engine and such a rush to drive. Enjoyed it more than the SC Range Rover I had though the Range Rover was by far more refined and comfortable inside as well as chassis handling. To be...

Has anyone here supercharged or turbocharged their LR4?

No, and you're really kind of asking a ridiculous question considering that this is not a high volume vehicle. There is no reason for anyone to invest in the development of such aftermarket parts. This is not a VW 2L turbo or even a v6 with huge tuner following. Sounds more like you...

    LR3 starter: DIY replacement completed

I hope that part is obvious to anyone however my method of supporting the frame with wheels hanging leaves the suspension unable to do anything anyway.

    LR4 Brakes and Rotors

To be honest, I can remove the liner in under 10 minutes.... no big deal and it's good to get familiar with that process as it also allows you to see/check the washer fluid tank on the driver side and air suspension valve block on the passenger side, and both fog lamps. If it's getting close...

    LR3 starter: DIY replacement completed

Did I mention procrastinating about this though for over a year as the "click then start" increased to more and more clicks, and then also a few weeks after parts arrived? ;)

All Weather or Snow Tires ?

I'm in Seattle area and drive into "winter" every week often near Idaho. It's a crazy place to live because near the Puget Sound it hardly ever even freezes while just an hour in the car you're at 3000 ft elev and past there eastbound it's winter until spring with several feet of snow and...

Spacers. Yes or No? If yes, then how?

Like Avslash said, test the wheel on so you can get it to make a mark where contact starts. You only want to remove enough to clear maybe 3mm at that point (in my opinion). Keep in mind that when you get new tires or balancing, they CANNOT put the weights along that path on the rim or they'll...

Do Range Rover wheels and tires fit in LR4s?

Now that I think about it, that makes sense anyway because the P38 shared the DII hub interface and then both the next gen RR and LR3 would also share.

Do Range Rover wheels and tires fit in LR4s?

And how old would those tires be? The wheels are at least 13 years old and will not have compatible tire pressure sensors if any at all - if you care.

Do Range Rover wheels and tires fit in LR4s?

Those may not fit correctly as they are from pre 2007 when the wheel centering hubs were definitely the same as an lr3 and lr4. You will need to do some careful research though because the hub of Range Rovers and the wheel mounting may have changed yet again in more recent times. That when...

Spacers. Yes or No? If yes, then how?

An angle grinder is used to take off some of the brake caliper material where it would contact the inside barrel of the rim. It has been used for fitting factory 18" wheels on lr4's or in my case factory 17" wheels even with 25mm spacers. The rear is the one that required more grinding. Then...

    LR4 Brakes and Rotors

Haha, I didn't know you were a Land Rover degenerate as well! ;) Very pleased with the deal on Stoptech set for our Audi S4 recently. I do however wish your account settings would retain previous order info.

    LR4 Brakes and Rotors

I should clarify though that the LR3 uses non synthetic oil or maybe a blend but anyway that part is cheap too. So, I just checked and their website even says normally $80 but right now $60 ! Very hard to beat considering the hassle even if you have the vacuum or a 2 post lift.

    LR4 Brakes and Rotors

Agreed. Conversely, I never bother with the oil changes on the rovers. It's less than $100 at the dealer and bulk of that is what the oil would cost anyway. If I DIY, then I have to spend way too much time fussing around with the set-up as well as driving somewhere anyway to dispose of it...

    LR4 Brakes and Rotors

Well, I just got new slotted Stoptech coated rotors and their pads x 4 for an Audi S4 avant for maybe $500 in parts. Do you have ANY interest in DIY? I used to do nothing at all on vehicles but the brakes were no where near as hard as I'd assumed for years. I don't know WTF "ceramic gold"...

All Weather or Snow Tires ?

For the LR3 I should also mention that I mostly use a non-studded Michelin E load range MS2 in the winter version and it's been fine. It's basically the tire before the newer Defender I think or similar. It looks identical to the normal M/S 2 but is softer compound. These are both in the 32"...

All Weather or Snow Tires ?

It's hard to judge the Nokian WRG2 due to it only having been used on the Audi which has a several case of inside edge wear on the rear and even a decent amount on the front. However, they went on one fall I think in 2009 after having worn through the factory high performance contis on a trip...

All Weather or Snow Tires ?

In actual "snow", the Nokian All-weather tires are fantastic like you experienced. It's on frozen hard surfaces (obviously also during much colder temps) where their true winter tires pull ahead. I used full life of the Nokian WRG2 on an Audi S4 avant and during deep snow they were insanely...

All Weather or Snow Tires ?

Yup, great when new but the lr3 independent suspension should kill the inside edge long before the whole tire is done. I switched to symmetrical directional tires for my BMW winters and the Audi so that after 2-3 seasons I'll have them flipped for nearly 30% more total mileage/life. The Audi...

Tire Size DII HSE w TerraFirm 2" Lift

The roughly 31.5" BFG aT Ko2 265/75-16 is what's on my d2 at the moment using factory 16" alloy which do of course rub the radius arms and I'd call it more than minor. The reduced turning radius caused makes it more of a major rub but of course you can just stop turning to eliminate it entirely.
