Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

There must be an lr4 driver with lr3 wheels and spacers but my guess is the 265/65x18 on lr3 18" plus a spacer may rub the sliders and the frame horn, most likely i'd bet. Especially because i think the spacer needed is the 1.25 with the 1.0" not enough to clear the brakes without a lot of...

18" Wheels - EVO CORSE DAKARZERO

For lr4 I would want a little more data because I think the NAS v8 caliper is a little different than my lr3 caliper. However, the mudtech folks have an lr4 17" brake conversion kit so it's doable but I don't know if they also change the caliper. One way to find out would be to measure side by...

18" Wheels - EVO CORSE DAKARZERO

It's so easy. Rotors and carrier. Nothing else unless you wanted to get persnickety and also replace the backing plate but I didn't. Presumably a matching sized plate could keep rocks out of the rotors a little better but so far after extensive use last summer, it's been fine. It's a good...

    Control Arm bushings

Good to hear this. I think you should also offer a higher grade hardware kit as the ones I got had a missing/duplicate part as well as some of the washers just rotating off the axis and not doing their job. It was pretty annoying to be honest. You all sent replacement stuff without hassle...

    Control Arm bushings

Like Ryan said, plenty of youtube videos. The hardware on mine was basically fine and the bolts that came with the parts kit from Atlantic British kind of sucked in my opinion with the offset washer twisting off it's axis and becoming useless. The original stuff was still solid as could be so...

    20inch wheel Offset required? 275/55R20 KO2's

yeah that's the size i had on my 9.5x20 stormer wheels at the beginning.

18" Wheels - EVO CORSE DAKARZERO

yes, i am using factory 17x7 for snow tires so i am 99% sure these 17's will work considering the wider offset. but yes, let's do a measurement test. I'll contact you or pm me i you haven't heard from me.

Only when working hard offroad - Hard to start / initial rough Idle

last couple yrs I've had something sounding like that occur a few times though it wasn't post-off-road specific that I recall. I would try to take note of any other situational factors. It could be a coincidence regarding timing from off-road outings.

    19 " wheels

I appreciate the post of all that useful data. However, my own experience on different tire shapes says 275/55 will actually be noticeable and I would think it sucks on how it feels. The sidewall is plenty tall enough to make a difference too. I told you above, on a lighter car I could feel...

18" Wheels - EVO CORSE DAKARZERO

for the lr3 to use 17's you change the rotors and caliper carrier. The same caliper just mounts to the slightly smaller rotor. 16's are unlikely to work but i wonder how close a steel one with wide offset might get. may test fot one sometime to see.

18" Wheels - EVO CORSE DAKARZERO

The only thing the shorter rods are required for is if you install the strut tower spacers. The rods then bring the height sensors back to within the computer's tolerance zone. 265/65-18, no cutting and will fit fine fully inflated underneath but you will need to remove the fiber shield that...

18" Wheels - EVO CORSE DAKARZERO

A 17 should fit fine. They are probably saying it won't fit on the usual HAS spec lr3 or especially lr4. Even rover factory 17" won't fit on the NAS v8 lr3 so you have to covert to the v6 spec rotor and caliper carriers. I am very interested in the 17's in bronze or black

    Safety Devices Roof Rack

yeah, well of course you can just as I have but I'm saying no matter how you look at it, the gutter system is stronger. you could literally lean the vehicle into a tree and have that rack hold the thing off.

18" Wheels - EVO CORSE DAKARZERO

Hey, hey, thx for posting here for people interested. From what I can tell, that company makes a sweet 17x8 ...... can you find out if we can get an lr3/4 mounting? Also with a fairly conservative offset, maybe about 50 to 45 at most. (Factory ET on an 8" is usually 53) I also have a...

    Rotor wear advice

No offense meant, just picking a little ;) In this situation, it was hard enough sourcing the right size and parts for the 17" conversion and they didn't seem like much but then again, I'm used to seeing sets for the Audi or BMW and those are often "!" However, I'm not sure what's wrong with...

    19 " wheels

Nah, not fine. Bulging is crap and means tires were poorly chosen. The weight of this vehicle will exaggerate that sort of bad sizing and make the handling suck. When the RRS comes with 275's it's on a 9 to 9.5" wide wheel, never on an 8", not from the factory. Will it mount and is it...

    Rotor wear advice

Well I think I had to call and get them special ordered because I did the 17" spec size change used on the v6 lr3. There are parts that will do the same swap for lr4's. The change only required new caliper 'carriers' but reused the calipers. new rotors of course. Lucky8 might have decent...

    Air Suspension Fittings and Tubing

I feel like maybe i've seen those at AB or rovers north but not sure. Be careful you're getting the correct line size. I think ours are the 6mm right? older rovers have 4mm or something.

Why are some people so cheap? ;) Never heard of that place but I'd want to know the weight. When something is too good to be true, it's often not good or not true ;) I got my EBC through Rovers North. You want a the most mass you can get for heat dissipation. My guess is the super cheap...

More proof the LR4 is a very safe vehicle

Well they weren't bullshitting you apparently: see chart down the page a bit, zero during 2006-09 4yrs, model yr lr3 05-08. https://www.iihs.org/iihs/sr/statusreport/article/46/5/1 I am trying to dig up stats since then too.
