What is the alternator size for a 2006 lr3?

oh, also you can look that up on dealer parts websites like this: https://parts.landrovervirginiabeach.com/search?search_str=rear+wheel+bearing+hub And also places like https://www.roverparts.com/ have a good search function and also the parts in both genuine and cheaper oem versions. they...

    Air Suspension Fittings and Tubing

also, I don't like the push-fit splicers. One I had leaked, pissed me off, so I got these which are basically leak-proof and fully reusable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BXBQZZZ/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I only used 2 in the rear to start because the front had enough...

Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

There definitely trade offs. At 32" and smaller, no strut spacers are needed. Nor do you need the rods unless you have the strut spacers. I used 32" for about 5 years and in some aspects, it's the best choice all around because they weigh a lot less so they handle much better braking and...

Alarm going off for no apparent reason

    Safety Devices Roof Rack

Also, while I said I'd only buy aluminum now, I have to clarify that is for modern rovers without a gutter and our limited suspensions. You can't put a HD spring on to make up for more weight and while air struts do try to adjust, it's not quite the same equation when getting into 400+ lbs on...

    Safety Devices Roof Rack

Around 2006 there was a Safety Devices Discovery II photo with all their stuff from that period on it and it was set up with at least a 4" lift, 35's, root tent, possibly bead lock wheels, winch bumper, etc. Looked so incredible.

Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

I shouldn't have mentioned it because if you think about it, this suspension already reaches right to it's physical limits after which breakage will become almost certain. Even with the strut spacer one has to be careful of the front joints especially.

    LR4 on 33's

I did not see an offset spec on either of those. Have you? Either the shape or offset are the reason for that and I like the idea of the l8 wheel being closer offset for a taller tire. I'm considering another set of 17's though too.

Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

he coil struts do not have the range of travel which is why from a movement purpose, are inferior to the air struts which have 13" range in the rear! That's like what you get on an older discovery with coil cones to keep it aligned when you pull the axle too far away from the body after...

Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

You seem to be missing the point in that whole deal. You can put a 33 on no problem with minimal modifications or cost. You just need to be smart about size choice and stick with an 8" wide wheel and under 11" section tire, so something like 265/70-18 or 275/65-18 or 275/70-18 with the first...

Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

I can replace one in under 2 hrs in a driveway or on a trail. These really do not "fail" like you make it sound. Many big industrial vehicles are on air springs including buses running millions of miles on them. The weakest points on the lr are not the struts but if the compressor gives out...

Coil Springs for my LR4 in the future as it ages

In fact it is somewhat easier and safer as there is no spring compression required.

Is a d5 a great deal right now?

yeah i was just joking, but i know one of the toyotas, maybe the troopy has barn doors with one side being about 2/3 width.

Is a d5 a great deal right now?

where's the 'dis'-like button... actually an offset barndoor could be useful

Is a d5 a great deal right now?

Yeah, none of the international 4x4 pros are using that. But see how the Toyotas have swing doors or split doors. Full lift gates are for mini-vans and wagons ;) Shit, if my BMW wagon had a split gate, that would be SO cool. Their X5 has a split gate.

    Safety Devices Roof Rack

I like Rovers North but that is a seriously crap description of the rack on the website LOL. Might as well say "it's cool, buy it". Nothing about material, coating, dimensions, nothing at all.

    Safety Devices Roof Rack

I had a way back SD on my Disco 1 then sold it as it was super heavy and being made of steel, an ongoing rust worry. I will only use Aluminum racks now. Currently have 2 Hannibal 83"x55" with their awnings side and rear with "room" walls.

More proof the LR4 is a very safe vehicle

VW Touareg up to 2009 was one of the best built for crashes vehicle with it's solid chassis but also egg shape for easy roll over force deflection. Boxy things like an older Disco 1/2 older range rovers, jeeps, even the incredible mercedes G don't do so well in rollovers due to the A pillar...

275/65R18 GY MT-R or Discoverer STT mud

Really, you want to ask that? For fucks sake read the endless "how large" threads. ;) The answer to be honest is any size you dream up, if you're willing to do what it takes. A RRS SC guy had a killer body lift done that allowed over 35", might've trid 37's. I am quite sure the entire job...

    LR4 on 33's

oil springs vs air springs: coil, never die on you, basically never, even when old and tired. coil, cannot compress so far that you risk dumping the vehicle onto the tires. Even with the strut spacer, you loose the air and you won't be having a good day on a trail with that tire width...

    LR4 on 33's

Because you could see how tight it is at what height. If it's near the full drop and only a rubbed in a little, then you'd know for sure the tire size would work. It is amazing you want the look of a 20 so much more than the most capable system. I had 20's, they were cool, they were also dumb...
