Hard to guess without more info. As it's from Copart, the first thing I thought of is they keys. If you don't have the original key, the one you're using might not be coded properly. If the airbags popped, that's a whole other issue.- Tbh1981

For those who have other things to worry about other than crossover pipe failure/catastrophic overheating
I have found the solution for my peace of mind to include always having a full jug of premix coolant in an "emergency fluids kit" I keep in a milk crate in the back. I also have washer fluid, a couple quarts of 0w20, and some DOT4 brake fluid. -

Not sure about the trailer assist issue, but I do know that I'm going to rent a trailer and tow an F150 around town with my LR4, just to flex on the 99% of my neighborhood that has a Ford in the driveway -

LR4 poor idle with AC in drive

I do keep it parked outside, but it's my daily, so it's almost always on the go. The rodent damage was definitely from when the truck was on the lot waiting for sale, or even before when the previous owner had it. I imagine I jostled the bare wires together when I was pulling the drain hose... -

It's possible, maybe, that the black wire that was also chewed was conducting the power to rear wiper module via ground wires running through the whole vehicle... but again, I would have thought that would cause a host of problems, not just a wiper malfunction. The way the short presented itself...
