    Fog Light Bulb...

Nice picture! I agree, in snow and actual fog, yellow fog lights work far better than white.

    In search of 19” Rim

I picked-up a used LR3 wheel on ebay for my winter full size spare. One like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/19-INCH-05-06-07-08-09-LAND-RANGE-ROVER-SPORT-LR3-OEM-SILVER-WHEEL-RIM-72191-C/113845623254?hash=item1a81ba59d6:g:mAQAAOSwKV5c~rzs:sc:FedExHomeDelivery!02050!US!-1

    Fog Light Bulb...

Most white fog lights are borderline useless. Switch the bulbs to PIAA yellow bulbs and you will have better visibility in blinding snow. I have driven in a blizzard with the headlights off and just the yellow fog lights on to reduce the headlight glare coming off the falling snow. They are...

Items to check before 100K warranty expires?

I'm at 107K and the clockspring voices appear on really hot days but seem to go away on cooler days. All of my previous Audis had this issue as well.

    Faulty Reservoir Float Sensor...

Not that I recall. And I have had 2 of those floats fail already. More likely the engine is running harder (higher rpm) due to max AC output in hot weather.

Items to check before 100K warranty expires?

I had the shop foreman at my LR dealer go over mine at 98K. Found the water pump leaking again (water pump #3) and oil leaking out of the passenger side valve cover. Replacing the valve cover gasket would have been an expensive item but CPO warranty covered it. However, the oil was dripping...

    PCV refresh/replacement

I had a leaking passenger side valve cover as well. They spotted it at 98K when I asked for a complete inspection before the CPO warranty ran out. However, it was leaking oil into the alternator. The tech said they have seen this before and it shortens the lifespan of the alternator. Since it...

This is what happens if you don’t listen to your LR4

At 105K miles I'm on water pump #3. Mine all had slow leaks dripping out near the front tow hook. Nothing like what happened above.

    Blown head gasket

I can't believe how good the paint is holding up after 105K miles, including winter weekend trips to VT. Even more amazing is how nice the leather seats look with zero wear spots.

    Blown head gasket

After a trip from Boston to Cincinnati and back it would take a tornado to remove all the bugs that are glued to the front of my LR4.

    Blown head gasket

I know...I don't want to face the fact that I can't drive my LR4 forever. And how is it 6 years old already?

    Blown head gasket

I think your options are either trade it in as-is or spend the $12K+ and drive it to 200K miles. Here is one source for a rebuilt engine... https://www.roverlandparts.com/LR3-LR4-engine.aspx

Replacement Key FOB for 2016 LR4

Perfect timing...thank you for posting this. I was in southern Ohio for a week in 90+ degree heat and the rubber cover melted off my key fob.

Engine oil analysis results on 2010 LR4 V8

Mine is exactly the same. Electronic dipstick reads full but the Mityvac only pulls out 7 quarts at 7500 mile oil change intervals.

    Maintenance concerns???

Great list avslash...very comprehensive and I've had to do most of those items as I'm at 105K miles now. I'll agree that the transmission fluid and filter is due. Use the kit from Atlantic British now and it will make the next transmission service so much easier.

    Cooper Zeon LTZ

I have aired down the Cooper Zeons to 20 psi many times for beach driving in soft sand. Then I drive home about 5 miles at 20 psi with no issues. My tire guy said the OEM LR wheels really lock onto a tire bead and are the most difficult wheels to work with when mounting tires. When new...

    Another Defender hint?

Some people don't care about tires. At 25K miles on her LR4, my neighbor asked me what tires to get since her OE Contis were bald. I told her WRG3's which she bought and remarked that they were great in winter. At 50K miles she put on a set of OE Contis because the Nokian dealer is half an...

    Another Defender hint?

Why does that red one look like a small Ford Flex? And please don't give us the big wheel/low profile tire combo. The first thing I did with our new Passport was replace the 20" wheels with 18" Ridgeline wheels and taller tires.

    2012 fault lights!!!!

Your issues sound like a bad brake switch. I know they put a new one in but I would try one more. It's a cheap part. But as noted, pulling codes should solve the mystery. I gave up on Land Rover Hanover service years ago and go to Land Rover Cape Cod for dealer service. They are both owned...

    2013 LR4 Rotors and Breakpads

FWIW - I have gone through many sets of brake rotors and pads over the last 12 years and from my experience the OEM pads and rotors work the best. No warping problems and good stopping performance.

    LR4 2016 HSE - Low coolant & water leak

Just had my 3rd leaking water pump replaced by the dealer. Supposedly it has been redesigned somehow so they claim this one should not leak. I'd go to a dealer or online LR parts store like LR Merriam parts (https://landrovermerriamparts.com) to see if there is in fact a redesigned OEM water...

    Another Defender hint?

Thank you for the explanation. After all my years on here I never knew that the LR3 & LR4 had different suspension tuning. But I always thought our old LR3 handled better in heavy rain, packed ice and a washboard beach access road than our LR4s. Now I know why. However, I so enjoy the power...

I'm thinking fan clutch as well. Replaced mine around 90K miles and that noise was gone.
