    Getting full manual from Topix

This has been mentioned before and someone did in fact go through the effort of painstakingly downloading the shop manual bit by bit if memory serves. However, there is also a link somewhere in the forum to full copies of manuals from various model years. What year do you need? CORRECTION: Not...

    Showoff Your LR4

This is so true. Our LR4s have a penchant for throwing puddle water directly into and over the windshield. It's probably due to the very short front overhang which leaves very little structure to deflect the water back down onto the road surface. Whatever the cause, it is definitely a hazard to...

    Showoff Your LR4

Nice. The tag I created for the vehicle photos I feature is #CuratedD4. I have a lot of international followers and as you know North America is the only place where our vehicles are known as LR4 and not Discovery 4. I will shoot you a PM.

    Another Defender hint?

I've heard of him but had never watched him before. Stupefyingly irritating. I made it about as far as you did before I bailed out. I don't need to hear his views enough to put up with that.

    Showoff Your LR4

Great photo. Are you on Instagram? I do a thing where I occasionally feature the coolest LR4 photos I find and would like to include yours if so.

    LR4 vs Defender

    Ouch and LOL.

    Rhino / ox hitch option

Not sure if this is responsive to your question but it's what I was talking about in my last comment. I thought it was funny but you know what they say: Simple things amuse simple minds... https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/eir89o/how_to_adjust_the_tow_bar_on_the_2020_land_rover/

    LR4 vs Defender

I saw this video the other day and enjoyed it. I like the content by powerfulUK. Just a note that this comparison seems to focus mostly on design cues, interior layout, and overall dimension comparisons. So anyone looking for H2H comparison of driving dynamics and capabilities will need to seek...

    Rhino / ox hitch option

That Factor55 is a nice looking recovery point accessory.

    Rhino / ox hitch option

I thought I saw diagrams of the obscenely shaped tow hook/ball with an even more comically obscene illustration of how to use it. Will try to find it if possible. It was making the rounds about a month or so ago.

Decent trailer hitch/bike rack combo on a budget ?

Everyone has different needs/budgets/preferences. I'm with the others who have commented and I opted for something a bit nicer. The Thule rack I use was on deep discount when I got it and it was still over $500...for only two-bike capacity. But I love it and I love my bike even though it's not...

Decent trailer hitch/bike rack combo on a budget ?

I agree and will never willingly use that style again. Plus with kids bikes and certain other frame geometries the bikes hang at wacky angles with messed up centers of gravity, etc. A tray is the way.

Decent trailer hitch/bike rack combo on a budget ?

Please keep us updated. I'd be interested in knowing what you choose and how it works with the AB part. Happy hunting!

Trailer Wiring Kit from Atlantic British

Completely agree with your reasoning. Good luck with the OEM install.

Decent trailer hitch/bike rack combo on a budget ?

AtlanticBritish has a bolt-on hitch that fits into the factory receptacle. It might be a great solution for you. However it appears to be out of stock at the moment. Still, something like this could be a quick and solid route to try...

    TOYO AT3 255/55/19

Those are great looking tires in our size. I am enjoying the Contis that you took a pass on, but I will probably give these a try for the next set I need. PS: Sending you a PM...

Caked on Brake dust removal tips?

This past weekend I washed, clayed, and applied the TW hybrid ceramic spray. Then after a couple of days (only 24 hours are required to cure but I got sidetracked) I applied a 2nd layer. This afternoon I will see how it beads up because I'll be using Iron-X on the rims and will be doing frequent...

    Dependable Independent Mechanic in Ohio

Sorry just seeing this but I frequently suggest www.lrshops.com as a starting point. Searchable database of independents; many listings have reviews. LRshopsdotcom in case forum strips out the URL.

    Wet Driver floorboard 2011 LR4

When I bought my current one the dealer gave me all the time I wanted to check all systems and drive it. I took about 2 hours and detected a few flaws including no cool air in AC mode. They gave it a quick freon charge and it has worked like a champ ever since. Hopefully your fix is similarly...

    Rhino / ox hitch option

Nice install. I do the same thing with the integrated pin but hadn't thought to tape it off for protection. That's a beefy hitch lock. My Thule uses a different security approach but I need something like this when towing a trailer. How did the trimming of the cover go or have you done that yet?

    LR4 Accessories

You might try posting and scanning in the Classifieds section here on the forum. I've seen them offered when people are selling their LR3/4 and selling off accessories. I agree that some type of cover is a must-have back there, even a blue tarp or an old blanket until you get a good mat.

    LR4 Accessories

I take it you're not interested in the factory mat? It will take a beating and stays in my cargo area permanently. The problem with any of these quality mats is that it becomes a logistical issue when you want to deploy the 3rd row. You have to fully remove the mat and then you have to deal...

Caked on Brake dust removal tips?

Thanks for the add'l info @DaytonaRS7. Looking forward to some driveway time after the stuff arrives. My plan is to do it in the morning before any driving and in the shade. It isn't hot yet here in DC.

    Wet Driver floorboard 2011 LR4

Still watertight at 7 yrs and counting and doubly grateful for garage storage...not that there are any guarantees with a Land Rover. But we love them just the same.
