    Front end suspension deflates/inflates

Hello, I noticed recently that every time I start my LR3 the front end suspension inflates. That must mean that it's deflating as I'm driving or after I park. There is no load in the car other than the driver. I also noticed a rough landing occassionally when the front end rolls off the...

    Water ingress

Hi everyone. This morning after a short drive in heavy rain, water started dripping from the overhead console where the mini-lights/convenience lights are located. There is a small hole in the console cover where it's closest to the windshield. That's where the water dripped. Anyone seen...

    Sacramento Indy shop for alignment?

LR Sacramento referred me to an Indy shop called Radial Tire. They send all their LRs there. They quoted me $85. Why such a huge difference in price from LR Rocklin? Am I missing something?

    Sacramento Indy shop for alignment?

Thanks, but LR Rocklin quoted me $350 for an alignment. I won't pay it.

    Sacramento Indy shop for alignment?

Does anyone know of a good indy shop in the Sacramento area that can do a proper alignment? All 4 of my tires are worn down on the inside edges while there is plenty of tread left on the outside edges. Thanks!

-Off topic- What kind of car did you own before your LR3?

What was wrong with the Denali? Why did you get rid of the Denali? Just curious. It was either the Denali or LR3 for me. The lack of a fold-flat 3rd row in the Denali was the deal breaker there.

LR3 'churping' sound coming from dash

Hello, has anyone else had this problem recently? It just started in my '06. Same symptom: Going over 50MPH on the highway. Must be related to the air intake. I will take it to the dealer soon and will post the results. Thanks.

    2008 LR3 question for me!!????

I don't use it off road much. I bought it for the cargo space, styling, fold-flat 3rd row. It's the perfect cross between luxury and utilitarian. I wanted leather seats, high-end stereo, 4x4. I also looked at the Denali, but the lack of fold-flat 3rd row was a deal killer.

Pirelli ATR VS Hankook Ventus AS RH07

I've narrowed my choice to these 2 tires for my 19" wheels. Things that are most important to me: 1) Quiet ride on pavement 2) Long tread life 3) Decent in the snow Which would you choose?

SE/HSE, whcih one did you choose/why?

I paid $29k 1 year ago for an '06 HSE. Silver w/black leather.. 19k miles at the time. 1.5 years warranty remaining. Did not include cold weather, HD or cold box. Is that really more than an SE would cost with similar options, etc? I priced them out on KBB and found the HSE in my year...

    Faulty Remote replacement

Did Utah require your proof of ownership, VIN, etc? The remote has to be paired with the vehicle at the factory and they use the VIN to do this I believe.

I see 2 votes for the SEV6, just curious why that would be the preference over the SEV8 or HSE?

SE/HSE, whcih one did you choose/why?

HSE: stereo, lights, 3rd row, NAV, 19" wheels. Easy decision to go HSE when buying used... not much more $$ than the SE and a nice list of equipment I want. Of course, as MRBigs states, the HSE badging also makes me superior to everyone, and that is very important for my self esteem and self...

Warranty just expired - big thanks to everyone on this forum!!

How did you get them to do an alignment? I have 28k miles on my '06 and all tires are worn on one side. They refused to do the alignment saying it was too late and they don't do alignments under warranty anymore.

All 19" Tires Available - your vote?

I did the research and documented all the 255/55/19 size tires I could find. Am I missing any? What are your votes for top 3? I've only used GY Wrangler HP, but, based on what I have read, my top 3 in no particular order are: Hankook Ventus AS RH07, Pirelli Scorp ATR, Bridgestone Dueler H/L...

    Full Size Spare Tire

How often do you use the spare to warrant the extra money and hassle of doing this? What's the point? So if you do use the spare, you drive on it for a day or 2? Is that really worth all the hassle and bother?

    Would you buy another one?

Interesting about the Denali. My decision came down to Denali vs. LR3. NOt intersted so much in off road use. My requirements were: Cargo space, luxury, 4x4 for the snow, good exterior looks and fold flat 3rd row. I honestly liked the Denali better, but in the end no fold flat 3rd row and 2nd...

Hello There - Snow Chain Help Please

If not used for off-road purposes, 4 Wheel drive is an egregious waste of money if you're going to chain up when it snows. Until I experience otherwise, after tens of thousands of miles driven on snow-slicked sierra roads over several decades without chain requirements, I will not be carrying...

Hello There - Snow Chain Help Please

IMO is implied by the following statement: "I have never seen this R3 condition." And what's ridiculous is spending money on and taking up space for chains you will never need to use in CA.

Hello There - Snow Chain Help Please

There is no law that requires passenger vehicles to carry chains. There is a condition (R3) that requires ALL vehicles to have chains on each tire of the active axel. However, in decades of winter driving in the sierras, I have never seen this R3 condition. Instead, cal trans will close the...

Hello There - Snow Chain Help Please

Don't waste your money. Does the CHP require everyone to carry chains? Yes. Are they going to check that you have them? No. Are you going to need them on your LR3? HELL NO. Do they have a condition where chains are required on 4X4 vehicles? Yes. Have I ever seen or heard of it being enforced in...
