How much more life expectancy out of the d1 I hate to put money into it for an almost worn out rig. I do have a spare trans and transfer case . Axles seem ok. It had fair maintenance done before I got it and I have since got most everything else ok shape. -

Swapped fuel pump today steady fuel pressure at 35 started and run good just drove 30 or so milews. seems to run smoother also. Strange that original pump would power up and pressure to 35 but would not retain it with engine running -

I'm sure this has been hashed out several times but what is the consensous on the service engine light on a 98 disco. Reset the red box or remove it entirely. What is the effects if it is removed completely -

Tach quits working
Dash tach and water temp gauges quit at times. Worse when cold. If you hit a bump they will start working, so I know im looking for a bad connection. Any ideas on location of connectors. The plug at the dash panel is ok. -

I tried removing batt positive cable for about 10 minutes. When reconnected idle was ok. Truck ran great for about a week. But we had a cold front blow thru yesturday and temps dropped to the 30-40 degree range. Now the fast idle has come back 2000 rpm in park 1200 in drive. The cable trick... -
