engine choices
I'm running an 85 defender with a 2.5 n/a. RHD. I can get my hands on a rebuilt 200tdi for a low price. Is the 300tdi so much better that it justifies the extra work to switch the transmission, I have an LT77 to the R380, as well. Diesels are rough. I can't imagine it is that much more refined. -

basically I need to know if there a more readily available oil filter for the 2.5 non turbo diesel. What would be the best replacement gear oil for LT77 and the transfer case? I appreciate all help. I am in the usa -

I just recently got an 85 defender rhd here in the states. There is not an abundance of information out there of this vehicle especially in terms of getting parts. Is there a place that is easy to work with to get parts such as valve covers for this 2.5 non turbo vehicle. All help is greatly... -

changing a rhd drive defender to an auto from a five speed during an engine change, would it be a bad move?
