    When I ordered my LUX I gave a $500 deposit and had a written Purchase Order Agreement with prices, discount, deposit and amount due at delivery. Nothing to argue or discuss.     No need for "special" cable with 2012 just plug and play with standard USB iPod cable. Gee another LR salesman that does not know the product they are selling, shocking, lol.

    You can turn it off and on in the menu, when on it shows up only when you adjust volume up or down and stays on the screen for few seconds then disappears. I found it annoying as hell and turned it off. Just a number, means little to me, I adjust by ear.

    That is what I asked LR USA is it a software fix or hardware. To be honest if just a download no problem go ahead. If it involves ripping out unit etc not sure I care enough to take the risk

    I put in a call to LR USA yesterday. Explained situation that my 2012 and others online do not have HD on/off button in menu, etc. Asked them to investigate and come back with findings. They claim they have not had other calls like mine. Might be worth a call to help get them going on solution.

    decision time

    I went with the 2012, wanted the upgrades to stereo (825 watts) and Nav improvements. iPod plugs in with standard iPod USB cable. My kids are 10-14 and go in and out easily. Probably makes no difference but in my mind I thought the drive to improve quality would be more evident in a 2012...

    Don't think this is right, tested many stations and no HD symbol appears on display, only "little tower" which is regular FM. Not working IMHO. Not sure what fix is.

    Got call from LR USA today they say setting should be in menu and to have dealer call tech support and they will walk them through the fix. Arg no idea who is right here.

    All in 9-10 hours, big f...in SUV, lol. Need ladder for roof which has to be moved a bunch. The good news is I actually enjoy the work, so no complaints.
