How many miles on your LR4?

    60K miles on 2011 LR4 and 52K on 2016 LR4.

    JustDrive is available for iOS

Thanks for sharing. I just downloaded it and tried. I agree that the destination via voice commands is far superior to the native Land Rover voice commands user experience. The map/nav-screen looks rather monotone, but I'll take the ease of destination inputs over colors. The only real issue...

    Electrical/starting Issue

Over ~3.75 years of 2011 LR4 ownership we had our battery replaced twice (under warranty both times). Both times we had symptoms similar to what you've described. I ended up buying a jump start battery to keep around for the next time the darn thing needed a jump.

    255/55R19 CONTINENTAL 4X4 CONTACT (Set of 5)

I just purchased a 2016 LR4 and decided to replace all 5 stock CONTINENTAL 4X4 CONTACT 255/55R19 tires. The spare has 0 miles. The rest 4 have ~1000 miles. I'll accept $750 for the set of 5 tires. I am located in DFW.

    LR4 Re-purchase (2011 to 2016)

Had Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs installed soon after the purchase. We have been on a couple of trips in the last 4 weeks putting on ~3300 miles and both the vehicle and the Duratrac tires have performed very well.

    Transmission question

MST>>> I wonder how the dealer didn't see that when they did the inspection before putting it up for sale. I am a Land Rover admirer but I don't really have too much faith in their service department(s) based on my ownership experience. That is unfortunate. If Land Rover could somehow address...

    Off Road Recovery Gear

Jaguardoc504: your signature does not list HD package. Do you have a full size spare? If not, i would highly recommend buying a spare wheel and tire. This is more important than any other recovery equipment. Cheers!

    LR4 Re-purchase (2011 to 2016)

Thanks Umberto. No photos yet. But I'll add them soon :) I'll have to agree with your "marketing dept" hypothesis i.e. offering a V8 in a lowly LR4 as standard equipment, while the mighty RR does not come standard with one. I really don't see any other reason for it. This might sound a...

    LR4 Re-purchase (2011 to 2016)

Its been a while since my last post/visit here. I just looked up these threads I started years ago when I bought my 2011 LR4: http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22565 http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=23390...

Cooper Zeon LTZ Off-Road tires on Stock 19" Wheels

At highway speeds, in my estimation, the noise is about 20% more. The stock tires are soft and quiet. Coopers have more agressive tread pattern so they have the higher noise. I have 10K trouble free miles on the continentals and I think I am going to switch back to them, not because I don't...

LR4 Off road in San Juan Mountains

Must have been someone else, since I just came back yesterday. I did not see any other Land Rovers on the trails. Almost exclusively Jeeps and just a couple of FJ Cruisers mixed in.

LR4 Off road in San Juan Mountains

Hi everyone I just returned from a trip to the San Juan Mountains of Colorado with my family. It was great and we love our LR4 even more for taking us to areas that would otherwise be inaccessible to us. I think most LR4 owners are aware of this but Silverton/Ouray/Telluride area of...

Cooper Zeon LTZ Off-Road tires on Stock 19" Wheels

Hi folks I am back from my trip and put on 2500 miles on the Coopers. Fuel economy was similar (if not better) than the Contis. On road performance was very good with respect to traction. Road noise at 75 mph and above is higher than the continentals - and that is the only edge Contis have...

Cooper Zeon LTZ Off-Road tires on Stock 19" Wheels

Add another LR4 owner to the list of those who went with Cooper Zeon LTZ tires. Based on Finlayforprez's excellent contribution to the forum on this topic, I ordered the tires from treadepot and had them installed today. I am headed out to Silverton Colorado tomorrow, and will go to some of the...

why and why not should I buy LR4

You did not say anything about what your needs are, what the purpose of the vehicle would be. I guess you'll get responses from owners and then you'll have to pick the bits of information that apply to your situation. I'll give you my 2 cents. I have owned more than my fair share of cars...

    Trail Report from Moab

ndrenfro Wow - that is one awesome off road trip. I salute you to do in this vehicle what its capable of and to push it to its limits like not many will. You have a great setup as well. I will keep that in mind if/when I try to get some stuff added to my LR4. Thanks for sharing ! Cheers!

    Pleasantly surprised by gas mileage

After driving about 10K miles in 6 months, although I am averaging about 16mpg, I can easily get 18-19mpg even 20mpg on the highway. I am definitely pleasantly surprized by LR4's fuel economy which according to EPA is 12/17 (city/Hwy). When I bought it, I was ready for 10/15 (city/Hwy) -...

    Child booster-car seats/seat belts

I have a car seat for my son and have it latched as well as secured by the seat belt as you are trying to do. I do not have any problems with this. The two mechanisms are separate from one another and using latch does/should not somehow incapacitate the normal seat belt system. Perhaps the...

    Surprised by poor snow performance

Jobaker4 How were other vehicles around you faring? Was this just a situation where it was too icy/slippery and that pretty much all vehicles were in the same situation? Was this ice or mostly snow you experienced? Are you using the OEM tires or switched to something different? I've...
