    V8 Defender

In the spec is says 0lb roof load capacity and there doesn’t seem to be roof rails. Does this mean no expeditionrack can be ordered ?

    ground clearance

For me, most valuable mods are E-rated tires (265/65), then Sliders (I use Tactical), then gas tank skid. Gas tank is the lowest point and very large..I've heard a few stories of people denting them and reducing their range to 150 miles per tank. I get over things like this by using the sliders...

2016 Land Rover LR4 (Discovery 4) Project Build

Nice build.. why did you choose ARB over the Tactical front bumpers?

Has your LR4 ever left you stranded? Preventative maintenance?

I have a 2010 at 93k miles. Basically battery is number 1 - if it hasn't been replaced just do it. These won't leave you stranded but worth watching for: Water pump will go Compressor will probably go at some point as you will have Hitachi one. Watch for water leakage into the windscreen...

Aux lights on the Front bunmper

In another forum - I saw a genius idea. One guy is running a wireless relay to switch them on. Then programming the garage door opener to trigger the wireless. That way you don't have to run wires through the firewall and mess with dash.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

I just mounted 265/65/18 KO2s (on LR3 OEM18" wheels) on my LR4 with 1.25" spacers. I still had to shave the calipers about 1-2mm using a metal file. (See arrows on photo) Its the 4 fins on the back of the calipers that touch ...just. The spare just went in but only fully deflated. The TPMS...

    First Impressions (Going from MY13 LR4/NAV8 to MY16 LR4/SCV6)

I gotta admit when running out todo a chore - I tend to grab the wifes's keys more than mine. It is fun to drive.

    First Impressions (Going from MY13 LR4/NAV8 to MY16 LR4/SCV6)

So I have to agree on a few things.. having just bought exactly the same thing myself for my wife. The suspension is really taut compared to my 2010 lr4..its more fun to drive and more car like around corners...but I put that down to it being brand new. I wonder if I replaced my...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

wow.. the wheel looks huge in comparison to stock. I wonder whether there is anywhere that compares actual diameter of tires across brands. For example at one size eg. 275/65/18 .. Are KO2s bigger than Duratracs? Did anyone start that Google sheet so people can contribute and compare notes?

    Got the LR4 bug

for the plastidip..I'm thinking of doing the same for my wheels. But I'm curious as to how strong the bond is... At the moment my rims are off the car without tyres. So I can either plastidip them now (easier and quicker) - before getting tires mounted and balanced but risk the tire shop...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Thanks.. I think I'll stay safe with 265/65s.. I'm not ready to start trimming yet.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

I think I've found my own answer..and that is they'll be too big. Scott Brady's post here: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/87155-Overland-Journal-Project-Land-Rover-Discovery-4-(LR4)/page30 ..in the photo shows the alignment against the fender of a 265 (section width 10.43) on...

    Complete shut down

So just in case this helps... I had a problem with my 2011 Range Rover.. in that every so often it would completely cut out.. and then restart again. Strangely it was often on the same bumpy hill going home from the office. This gave me the clue to check battery connections, which were fine...

Swapping out front grille and side vents

Its very easy to get front grill out. In fact they explain it in the handbook - because you need to remove it to change headlight bulbs. Just a few clips at the top and then pull out and up. On the side grill - I think its a 'enthusastic' pull.. see this video I will know more next week when...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Hi All.. After 3 years as the family vehicle my LR4 2010 is now mine to take offroad..so I've been reading up on these threads with great interest. I've just found a used set of LR3 18" 10 spoke wheels which I plan to fit with 1.25" spacers and follow umbertob's lead and fit them with...
