Combining spare-on-bumper with bike rack

Suspension fault driving fast on twisty mountain road
I’ve had it happen in off road height without rods or height manipulation. Usually when you hit a dip or with a drop that causes a rapid drop of a wheel. Lights stay on for a few seconds then clear. Once I had to wait until I turned off the car to let it reset. -

Were you loaded up? Might have pushed a height sensor out of range on the twisty roads. I get that occasionally OffRoad, especially in off road height. GAP tool will tell you what tripped the fault, might not explain why it happened. -
Fueling frustration

The jack will tend to lean into the car as you are jacking. It can push the door skin in. I’ve seen it happen on more than one occasion, even with sliders. For this reason I don’t use the hi lift on my LR4. I carry the safe jack bottle jack and jack stand. I too have sliders and a steel bumper... -

Careful with the hi lift as it will crease the door [emoji51] I use the safe jack system with the jack stand. They have a new stand but I don’t know if it works with the LR 3/4s. -

I run those on Compo wheels. I used to run 18 psi at all four corners but the rear looked to have too much side wall deflection so now I run 25 psi in the rears when fully loaded and 18 psi up front. Here is a pic fully (over)loaded and you can see the tires look fine at 18 front 25 rear. -
Wipers wont return to set position.
Are they in “winter mode”? Found out w my wife’s MY15 RR that there is a setting that keeps the wipers up a little on the windshield.- El Solis

Spare tire preassure warning
I believe you need the GAP tool to turn it off. I have the same warning bc my spare is deflated but by the time the car is ready to go with the rest of the systems checks it’s gone so I don’t worry about it.- El Solis
