Let me chime in - I have a 2016 with only 11k miles.... But I have been reading about the cooling issue since the beginning - even to go so far as to make inquires about 3d printing custom replacement parts. Yes, its possible. But reading from above... I know this is not something for people...
I have my 2016 with some options no, no HD package but, car has been wonderful - just testing the waters to see if there is some interest in the LR4
10,500 miles - heated steering, no nav, just a clean LR4 -
Let a old guy give some perspective on this HD/Locker thing... the first car I ever drove was a old (Lucas) defender - ranch car. it had a Lo gear - Ranch was in the coastal plains of Texas - so I only know mud, gumbo, sandy loam and sand. Oh, no mountains or stone or rocks.... I dont think I...
OK - Sorry - the above last posting - (Ill remove it) not correct - Here is what works - after the car has been running
so this technique allows you to check immediately - no need to wait.... You have to have the hood up.
Just Great --- no idea why the video is distorted... you should get...
Just fyi - 2016 LR4
open the hood
with keys in hand - push start button
Let all the lights settle down and push OK on left side of wheel until you get the menu
select the check oil level
boom - it should tell you - i guess its the hood being open
2016 - SS stopped a month later - car started just fine - but when I called around everyone told me that it would act as a drain on main battery - but when I did oil changes - codes were pulled and no one said anything... no i dont have a reader - should probably get one though -
Well, I hear all of you - 2016 LR4 - eco stopped after a few months - I just left it alone - warranty expires this month, so I took it in to have the dealer look at it:
So it begins...

Copied from dealer receipt:
10257 preformed health check and found inhibit for power supply...
Ill just say this - the new Bronco does have appeal. However, I lost a friend to the original - he was on the highway at night and swerved to avoid a tire left on the road. The car flipped. Short wheelbase is short wheelbase - be warned.
back to the crossover pipe failure - it would seem that heat soak plus time could be the culprit. I had some conversations with some thermal guys - if you are going to replace the plastic parts - you could insulate the parts with something like exhaust wrap followed by gold foil - that would...
Iv'e been thinking about this issue for a while now. Lots of calls with 3D guys, custom tube guys, hydro form guys. Its just not practical. It would be possible to have a custom Hi Temp silicone solution but it still would be expensive.... Plastic is just cheap. Period. Replace all plastic at...
What a Bummer - Ill look into this but what is up with the JLR design that it needs crossover pipes? Is all this to cool the heads? I can recall any US V8 that has crossover pipes let alone a LS.
Let me understand - if the crossover pipes are plugged - the heads will over heat? WTF??
Has...
We need to also take into account the mounting for the e-Pump - brackets and mounts need to be sized and fabricated. Will there be room?
It might be useful to get the LR pump and run by the Ford parts counter and compare,,,
as far as a kit.... it appears they have a setup for the Ford Coyote motor which was the basis for the the V8 we had and the v6 - the LR V8 and V6 have the same pump - different crossover
My god would that change everything -
why not think out the box and just get rid of the pump and crossover??

I tell you what - if Craig has a kit for the LR4 - Ill do it -
