These motors are completely different than what you are talking about. The dealer is the only source for some of this stuff. So I had no choice. I cleaned out the loose material in the cat. Hopefully it doesn't plug. No emission checks here so I can live with a check engine light if I need to. My heads were warped out of spec so I have some used ones coming from ebay that I will send to the machine shop, and fingers crossed they check... -

LR4 5.0 Chain Guides actual problem?
While working on mine I was reading the workshop manual from topix and it actually shows a picture of the tensioner and the tensioner blade and says "if they look like this replace with these" but it doesn't give a date range and has running change type of feel to it. -

Where to find a parts book?
I am in need of a parts book for one of these. I didn't see one on the Topix website but I could have just missed it. I did see one on one of the LR dealer sites but it was pretty crude. I live 2+ hours from the dealer and I want to be able to see what the parts guy there is seeing. Any advice? -

I have only owned it a few weeks. I think I figured out why the previous owner sold it though. In general when that happens does it ruin the head or just head gaskets? It is hard to find a lot of information out on the web. -

Well I put the sensor on there and it seems to have solved part of my issue. Before the car wouldn't start unless put through clear flood mode. Now it fired right up every time but I am still getting DTC's for 2,4,6,8 misfire in the first 1000 revolutions. I am thinking VVT issue of some kind... -

Thanks. I just got the sensor from the guy I bought the thing from. I am going to buy an hour of info from Topix and put this thing on. I will update when I see if it made any difference.
