They're not pretty or cheap, but the best is Rock Tamers. The great thing about them though is you don't have to look at them except when towing, as it attaches to your hitch. https://rock-tamers.com/
Well, my Comps are just over 2 years old and I’ll tell with with 100% certainty this has nothing to do with chemicals. For one, I’ve never applied so much as a wheel cleaner to them. Just automotive soap from the same bucket after washing the rest. They’ve also never seen a spinning brush car...
I have the largest AGM battery squeezed in and properly reprogrammed, but the dumb truck still gives a low battery warning after a couple days of opening doors while camping. It never has an issue elsewhere. Maybe a kill switch or solar is in my future.
I know I’m resurrecting a really old thread, but has anyone found any other tricks to avoid the low battery problem when camping?
My battery is an upgraded, larger AGM, and is barely over a year old. My 2010 LR4 gives me the low battery warning on day two or three while camping. I have an...
Weight is weight, especially when it's rotational weight. I will admit, the D3/4 being as heavy as it it, it may not be as big of a factor as on lighter vehicles. I came from performance street driving where you do literally feel that extra pound on the axle (two or three pounds is more...
Valid points, and some have had good luck with them. Others have had catastrophic failures. I'm sure there's an element of how much of a quality spacer you buy, and especially how much attention to detail/maintenance you give to the suspension/drivetrain. It's certainly not the worst...
Wheel spacers add a lot of weight (thus more stress on components. More offset generally isn't more weight to a particular wheel. The offset does add a little more stress just due to the geometric differences, but it's nowhere near the effect of a spacer.
On the locker, you're right to a...
Do not buy wheel spacers. Big, offroad E-rated tires are a crapload heavier already and put a ton more stress on all your bushings, ball joints, and axles. Wheel spacers add a ton more stress to all those parts. Do some research on performance driving, both off and on-road. No one looking for...
Also not trying to be snarky but #42 didn't remotely answer the question. There isn't a single search result except for this thread when searching these forums for Rotella GTS (or Rotella Gas or whatever). Just a bunch of mostly old references to Rotella, long before GTS existed. Your latest...
Did you end up getting it done? If you had someone do the front pipe, I’m curious how much that would cost. I just don’t have the time or motivation anymore to tackle it myself.
