I'M FED UP WITH THE DOORS LOCKING AT 8 MPH!
Sure, it seems like a great idea to someone in design, but when delivering equipment on the fireline, unless I turn off the engine, everything locks and I have to push the "unlock" button to get to the back doors and boot. Anyone know how to stop this? HELP!- Rover Runner

Gas Tank not filling up
When that happens, I just pull the nozzle back and hold the "gas shield" on the nozzle back a 1/4" to let the pressure out and continue filling the tank. Works for me- Rover Runner

There she blows, (maybe coolant crossover)
My 2005 LR3 developed a leak in the coolant recovery jug and the damn sensor on the bottom didn't register the lack of fluid. (No fluid - no sensor alert). I blew the head gasket and $4,000 later, the mechanic said "Oh, BTW, you need another recovery container." $15 at the local junk yard...- Rover Runner

Using the 12v trunk plug without cutting out after 3 minutes?
I got so tired of this problem and the fact that the wire (not cable) that goes to the trunk is too small a gauge to run anything worthwhile. I just drilled a hole for another 12V socket and ran a #12 wire all the way to the engine compartment and plugged it in to the "constant on" fuse...- Rover Runner

Drivers window not working
Had the same problem on my LR3, found a switch at the local wrecking yard. Installed it and no change, then I found the fuse block and the fuse had blown. It specifically says DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH. Replaced it and it worked.- Rover Runner

Well crap!
My LR3 has 230,000 miles on it and the engine went at 150,000 because the damned coolant recovery bottle sprung a leak and because the temperature sensor is located on the bottom of it, did not register the heat rise (REALLY STUPID DESIGN.) No intelligent engineer would ever put the sensor at the bottom of a tank that if cracked, would not indicate a high heat condition. Dashboard Cracks - Repaired

Jacking Options
The High lift jack is necessary when you're in the outback. Carry a 2' X 2' piece of 1/2" rug covered plywood to put between the jack and the door panel. Hi lift jacks were made to lift tractors, not "cars". Always carry a HD base plate to go with the High Lift jack, otherwise it will sink...- Rover Runner

No idea what happened
Stupid land rover. I developed a crack in the coolant recovery bottle. SURPRISE!!! the heat sensor is in the bottle, the coolant leaked out and with no liquid in it, the heat gauge didn't work. $4,000 later, I had the heads replaced. Really bad design.
