I had a similar situation but was not as methodical at diagnosing because the truck had 90k miles on it at the time and I figured most parts were close enough to needing replacement that I was fine throwing parts at the car.
Front left started sagging overnight. Due to the uneven nature of the...
Call around to a few places. Some of these parts are VIN locked and they won't release one to you unless you provide your VIN......resulting in the part appearing online as back ordered.
I have a front, middle, and rear valve block in parts cabinet. They can absorb moisture in the air so they...
I recently had an original, 7 year old, TPMS sensor go down. I took the opportunity to replace all four (left the spare wheel/tire alone) with Continential units from Rock Auto.Continental TPMS Sensors
Agree that towing the vehicle 4 down probably triggered the driveline DTCs because the various computers were not expecting to receive messages that there was wheel rotation while the motor was not running, transmission not running, etc
What is the technical reason behind suggesting "The...
Vehicle is no longer registering P1707-72.
I'm not sure how the failsafe logic between the TCM and the shift control module is designed. Is it possible that the shift control module has shorted out and its condition is being read by the TCM, therefore the TCM is preventing a signal to release...
Finally had some time to spend on this....got tired of looking at the car sitting in the driveway for the last three weeks. The aulro post was very informative, thank you! I replaced the brake switch because they are cheap. No change. I performed the manual shift lock hack per aulro site. Car...
Thanks all. I should have added to original e-mail.....brake lights work so it's not the brake pedal switch.
The shift lock solenoid has been particularly loud over the last few months. When the car was new you could not hear or feel the solenoid/actuation very much at all. Now the sound and...
2015 LR4 SCV6 105k miles.
Two months ago my wife was unable to move car out of P to D. Had to use the EPR red lever behind the cupholder and eventually was able to operate vehicle normally. Assumed this was a glitch. Problem reoccurred yesterday.
Curious if any others have had similar issues...
Called my dealer this morning and they verified parts are in stock. Will be replacing lower control arms this week at home and will bring it to them for fuel pump replacement at same time they replace the retaining ring......and alignment.
I've recently been having some issues with 92k mile 2015 LR4 suspension sagging after car is left sitting. Just started diagnosing the issue this past weekend. Haven't pulled the fuse/relay yet. No suspension fault errors on cluster or IIDTool to date.
Checked compressor to see if I had AMK or...
Lemforder is OE on many makes, including BMW. I've used Lemforder on various BMWs from 90s through current and had zero problems. In fact, Lemforder is usually identical to BMW but has the roundel ground off.
Meyle has been hit or miss in BMW applications; however it looks like jjvd21 has had...
Great work! Do you keep it parked outside? My Vizslas are constantly sniffing around and under the front of our LR4, which is garage kept. It has always had me worried that mice found their way in there somewhere and made a nest.
Called my dealer today and they see the recall in their system attached to my VIN.
Obviously this is hot off the press so they don't have all the details yet as to timing to parts availability etc.
I have the Voyager low profile as well with similar EO2 mounts for cases and jerry cans for gas or water. Also have ARB awning attached. Next is solar panels and lights.
It is time to find a newer vehicle for my wife. In considering our next move, we have to get rid of at least one vehicle and I'm trying to decide whether or not the LR4 is one of those vehicles to get rid of. I would like to find a way to keep our LR4 for my daily use, 7 pax capacity, and some...
It is real indeed. Others on this site and Jaguar forums have purchased from this seller without issue and it arrives quickly considering it is coming from Eastern Europe. The secondary battery in our cars is, in fact, the Exide EK151 with a JLR label on it. I checked out the regular website of...
The fuel filter is integrated in to the fuel tank access cover. For my 2015 SCV6 I believe it is p/n LR043420 while the pump assembly is LR043385. At my mileage of 91k it makes sense to replace.
I know you are on a fact finding expedition regarding the PSDS but I had this Exide EK151 arrive from this European seller within a week of purchasing. The unit that showed up at my house was manufactured Dec 2020 mfr date and within 30 mins of driving the start/stop and auxiliary systems were...
My dealer knew nothing of the recall campaign. I don't think any of the dealers have been officially notified yet and the dealers work off of those centralized databases.
I have a Solihull built 2015 LR4 HSE Lux (with HD) with 91k miles that I believe falls within the range stated above. I have not been smelling fuel from the LR4 but have recently received the P2187/P2189 codes and it is NOT the PCV diaphragm. I'm going to smoke test for leaks in the valve cover...
So uh yeah.......engine needs to be running while filling. I've only serviced manuals to this point. Good thing was that I knew something wasn't quite right so I took it easy on the test drive.
Lesson learned folks.....now on to the 6hp in my 2010 535 wagon?
I just completed the pan/filter, fluid, and mech sleeve replacement (my old mech sleeve was not leaking) at 71k miles. I drained ~5.5qts from the transmission after loosening the mech unit but not fully dropping. Only 4 qts made it back in before indicating full. I used the following procedures...
