Not yet. Haven’t been using it as much as usual, kid home sick, second vehicle, not quite to the half yet, but the CEL has not come back and no restricted performance warnings. Still has a bit of a rough idle at times, but otherwise running fine. :-/ -

Thanks, I'm using a cheap Icarsoft tool, so I don't have that much functionality. We've picked up a 2011 Audi Q7 as a second vehicle, and I've decided, against the advice of my local mechanic (he suggested burning it), to replace the fuel pumps on the LR4. Going to DIY. Looking for the parts... -

Scan tool
It looks like it has the ability to do tight tolerance mode but lacks the actual ride height sensor calibration. This guy does a pretty good comparison of this tool and the gap tool.- Bushwa

Thanks for the input, I did have rail pressure desired, but it’s a voltage not pressure value and it was pretty much a flat line. I’ll run it again with rpm and vehicle speed, I the more values I log, the longer between data points so I was doing just 4 last time to get better resolution. -

Scan tool
The Icarsoft LR v3 looks like the best value. It’s not locked to the vin like the gap tool would be. I have the v2 which is missing some of the functionally, like suspension calibration, but still very useful and I can use it for my current and future land rovers.- Bushwa

The shop tested the low pressure pump, and it checked out fine. No other misfire codes registered. They shop did say they didn’t have an actual gauge they could put on the fuel rail, didn’t have one with high enough range. I may try the sensors first, easier and cheaper. Are they dealer only? ENGINE SHOT
Mines got 320,000 km and it’s ticked since I got it 80,000 km ago. I was led to believe the injectors are generally noisy at idle and it was normal. Agree it’s a bit odd the engine would go so soon after a timing chain job tho. Who and how was the bearing failure diagnosed? -

Thanks. I had a local Indy look at mine, and also figured it was one of the HP pumps not quite keeping up. I'm not entirely sold. Here's a snip of a recent run. Cold start ran fine, drove for 10 minutes. Turned off for about 10 minutes. Restart with "restricted performance shown". Drove... -

2011 Disco 4/LR4 catalytic converter fail
It's just a threaded extension, unplug and unscrew O2 sensor, thread the male end into the pipe, reinstall O2 sensor into the extension. It spaces the tip slightly out of the exhaust flow so it generally reads lower. You'll occasionally throw a code for "O2 Sensor Heater slow to warm up" but it... -

Have you considered this. If you’re getting a CeL for cat efficiency below threshold, they may be operating at 89% efficiency, while the lower limit is 90. mine started throwing a code for this at about 280,000 km. No way I’m dumping thousands into cats for a vehicle that’s now worth peanuts due... -
