Coolant Levels Dropping Slowly - No Visible Leaks

NorthwestDriver, that's similar to what I was initially thinking might be happening. I did bleed the system properly three times right after I did the job, where large volumes of air "belched" out of the reservoir, but it seems to me that in such a labyrinthine system, small pockets of air might...

Coolant Levels Dropping Slowly - No Visible Leaks

Anglotron, I have actually just replaced all the hoses, including that one (actually posted a guide on how I did it without removing the intake manifold in the other forum), and I check the area just above that hose from each and every time I drive now, seems bone dry. Nevertheless, it is a...

Coolant Levels Dropping Slowly - No Visible Leaks

Thanks for the reply Gonzalo! I'll keep monitoring it for now, to make sure it doesn't level out and stop dropping, then give the cap a shot. I will update here if I find another reason for it, for sure.

Coolant Levels Dropping Slowly - No Visible Leaks

I recently replaced all of the coolant hoses and the thermostat housing on my LR3. Coolant was seeping at various hose joints and through the plastic housing beforehand, now I can't find a single drop anywhere or any evidence of a leak and I am literally checking on a daily basis at every single...

    SoCal LR3 Rear Diff Service

I've just run the SS air hose from the engine bay to the rear diff, so here are a couple pics of the install for those interested. I used the Rubicon Express 12' SS Air Hose, and was super disappointed because instead of including two of the same fitting, the one pictured here (AN/JIC -03...

    SoCal LR3 Rear Diff Service

mflecklr3, that was my LR3, I just got it back today. Paul at Oceanside also mentioned to me that they had another LR3 coming in! It's really cool to know it's another forum member. I'm so happy I finally got this done. The bearing noise is gone. I had them do the full bearing kit with an ARB...

    SoCal LR3 Rear Diff Service

I purchased the locking differential thru 4WheelParts from ARB, so the ball is rolling. I plan to have Oceanside Driveline perform the work of doing the differential rebuild, and will report back when it's all said and done. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

    SoCal LR3 Rear Diff Service

Georound, I'll check into Hoopers Rear End. I'm definitely down to do some driving with the other local LR owners. I'll PM you. Mflecklr3, I can't say for sure that there is nothing it would interfere with, but all the traction control does is sense wheel spin and engage brakes accordingly...

    SoCal LR3 Rear Diff Service

Thanks guys, I'm going to look into both of these options. I had an indy LR shop recommend Uni-Trax in Anaheim, so the current plan is to buy a used diff and have them rebuild it with an ARB locking unit, then have an indy shop install it. I'll update the thread in the next couple of months...

    SoCal LR3 Rear Diff Service

Hey Everyone, I'm new here, just introduced myself in the intros forum. Anyway, I'm looking for any possibly recommendation for rear diff service in the LA/SoCal area. I have what sounds like a pinion bearing that is slowly going bad on a non-locking rear diff. I've been to a few independent...

    Hey from Southern California

Hey All, I'm Evan from the Los Angeles area. I purchased a 2008 LR3 about 3 months ago and have just joined the forum. So far I've taken the LR3 on a couple of camping trips with some light-ish off-roading driving. Here are a few pictures! The first photo is from a trail in the San Bernardino...
