In Norcal I'm replacing all brakepads, sensor wire and rotors for our 2005 LR3, not using the dealer and it's costing $1,500. Got 60k out of the initial rotors, wondering if this a decent price?
My gut tells me dealer would be a lot more.
Thanks,
Is there a good aftermarket metal replacement for cracked front skid plate?. See pic, i cracked this on a 2.5 foot snow berm and am looking to replace it with a nice metal aftermarket guard as i'm sure i'll crack another.
Thanks in advance.

i have run thru two sets of goodyear's and founf that when i rotated the 2nd set i got more mileage out of them. My dealer told me the same story about not rotating but i'm running michelin's now and will rotate them as well.
Sounds like uneven wear on your LR3 but that's alignment problem
Thanks, i have experienced the negative rear camber and gone thru 2 pairs of goodyears by 50k miles. Anyone have the alignment specs for an LR3? ie what do i tell the shop to adjust the rear wheels too, to eliminate the negative rear camber?
Do i have to get my LR3 aligned byt the dealer due to the air suspension? I've taken it to a few shops and they mentioned they do not work on LR3's due to the complexity of the alignment job?
Curious as my dealer is quoting highway robbery fee of $400 to align the LR3.
Also if any shop...
I have two totally worn (inside tread mind you) goodyear rear tires, can i just replace the two rear tires with Michelin's or do i need to shoe all 4 wheels?
Also is there a better place to get an LR3 alignment near san francisco? Dealer is way to expensive.
Thanks,
I'm been through 2 pairs for the Goodyear 19" Wrangler HP's and am totally dissapointed in the ride and especially the wear.
I've read the posts about replacement tires and have narrowed it down to the Michelin Synchro's and the Pirelli Scorpion Zero.
Can someone help me make the...
the berm was 24" wide and 30" high of packed snow moved by a huge Cat plow, we went over it as through it was not an option, too dense. Got stuck in high gear normal drive height but dialed in the height and low gear and we went right over
stock Goodyear's 19s, i'm not really a fan as they wear too fast but I'm not aware of many options for the 19".
What set of tires should i get next, i heard the michelin's are good? What else is there?
We've had our LR3 now for 20 months and have put a solid 30,000 Miles on it. It's an HSE loaded and i had serious reservations about the car before buying it but my wife loved the car and so goes the rational.
I had reservations about the land rover as my father owned a Disco and the truck...
