I sat down with th BG fluid rep, and he showed me the BG fluid exchange is the same fluid as used by the local JLR dealer, and they do those flushes there with no known issues reported. Those of you who are familiar with BG products know they are high quality, especially the 44k fuel additive... -

Just received my notice to put my deposit down on a Grenadier
Which 6? The 2.5 is a dog, 3.0 has good power but gasket leaks every 60k..but I guess we're used to that. Same eng as the E53 X5...Hopefully they will not turbo it. BMW turbos are trash. -

I have been told by the BG rep it is safe to do their trans flush on my 12 LR4. It has 112k, and having worked for BMW for 20 years believe the "lifetime fluid change" theory on ZF transmissions to be garbage. Lifetime to what? A hampster? Anyway, my local JLR dlr says the proper way to do it is... -

2012 LR4 V-8 vs 2015 LR4 V-6 Quirks
The 15 did not have the loc diff option, but the veh would start jerking when turned all the way right in particular as though it was locking up a little. It was subtle, but the tech told me it was more noticeable than normal and I should keep an eye on it as it probably will need a t-case soon... -

2012 LR4 V-8 vs 2015 LR4 V-6 Quirks
Tight turning as in a U-turn. My 12' does not do that. I checked it before buying. The only drawback I have with th 12' is it does not have a rear view camera. Above the lic plate, there is a blank, apparently never equipped. Would be nice to have. Haven't investigated aftermarket system, but... -
