    Mann is owned by Purolator. I despise Purolator because their filter collapsed on my m104 mercedes ( no internal cage to prevent it). I sent filter to them and their response was " your fault". So I despise Purolator and all associated with them. I'd only recommend using them in your ex'es car.

    Hengst or JLR from FCP for me too. Just sent back 3. Even with inflation adjusted it's about $8 per filter. ( Lifetime warranty replacements cost more than original purchase).

    If you can wait, AliExpress or similar has ones that are very reasonable. Those tools are sharp and slice right through the urethane. Keep the beveled edge pointing up and leave a very thin layer on the body. Then use primer on both body and tail light. The primer can be used to fix spots...

    Ha, local guys wouldn't entertain doing it at all. Said they don't do them anymore, too much hassle. Disassembly and prep was the hardest part ( recovering headliner tomorrow). Bought battery caulk gun and eurathane tubes. Dropping it in was pretty easy with three people

    1700 from dealer was best price I could find. $200 for used one was much better. I fully understand why no glass guys around me wanted to do it.

    Tree took out roof glass and brake light. The crack from tree made it easier to started the removal. Besides It was faded and annoying me so my OCD is calmed now.

    Replaced third light. Used welding pliers to pull large sections at a time after slicing the urethane using these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CMP967Y9?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Removed old one in 20 mins with those tools.

    Indeed it is, hardest part for me was getting the glass. Second pic was the shattered one that came out. Tree fell on it.

    I'd put front lower and rear upper control arms, possibly valve covers on the radar. If I had to guess the next "need" of a 13yr old lr4. Other than maintenance they are pretty solid after cooling system is sorted.

    I've used the Sylvania kits on multiple vehicles. Lr4 are one of the easiest because of how easy ( if the clips slide) they are the remove. Sylvania kit has lifetime warranty and the uv blocking top coat won't yellow.

    That's the metal locking part of the tank. What the lock ring (removed for picture) secures too

    Yeah, the Vin is in their database as completed, and it's the correct revised part ( yellow vs white plastic). But, good golly. That looks beat for 4 years and 13k miles.

    So, new 2012 had recall done 4 years ago. When I filled tank for first time it dribbled gas out on an incline, Stunk too. Pulled tank, used Amazon tool.     I'm in a rocky part of the Appalachian mountains mostly. Have had the 2010 slide off large wet rocks. Just trying to over insure against " just in cases". The front tow loop, yeah it's under that piece. Pops out just like rear cover, use a quarter to turn screws.

    Thanks, just the kinda perspective I'm looking for. Hold up better to hits, avoid concaving areas. Maybe just add some sliding rails?
