    Tack acting funnie!

I have a 3.9v8. Tak doesn't work if there is a problem with the charging circuit. Mine did the same thing. New battery didn't solve the problem so the alternator was replaced. worked fine for a while until new alternator went U/S. Dealer had fitted alternator that couldn't handle the strain so I...

    255/65 vs 215/75

255/65 tyre is obviously wider but the lower profile will give you a stiffer sidewall and a slightly more solid ride. Obviously the expense of the tyre will increase, probably less MPG, and higher tyre wear.

    Newbie Discovery questions

The plastic casing around the auto shifter will warm up, it should be backlit by two 5W capless bulbs which need to lose their heat somewhere. There is also going to be some heat transferred from the transmission as it warms up. The shift stick will be hot as well. I have the same problem...

hard clunk when shifting into reverse

Its a common fault with the auto box. It doesn't affect the box in any way and it will only come back if you try and fix it. It's a bit like fixing ford cortina void bushes!
