How would you rate the quality of the service/sales departments compared to each other? When I visted both to look at some CPO's the VW dealer could have cared less I was there. All their "CPO" Touaregs were dirty inside and out..door dings..scratches, etc. At the LR dealer it was the polar... -

Thanks again. I thought there was a setting on the LR3 to have it go to access height? I take it that it is a manual thing and not automatic. You would need to lower it when you are ready to get out. Is that right? -

Did some more research and it seems that the LR3 gets the nod when compared to the Touareg from various reviews/tests. Also spoke to my Wife's cousin who owns roveraccesories.com and I am leaning much more towards the LR3 now. -

I have narrowed my choices down to the LR3 and the Touareg. Anybody own both and can comment? Each has its own qualities and very different driving dynamics. I feel as though the quality of service I would receive from the dealer would be in the LR3 favor. Thanks -

I plan on buying an LR3 in the very new future. I have had my eye on a few 07 LR3s "loaners" the local LR dealer has. The sell them fairly quickly and normally have 2 or 3 at any given time. They never have more than 5,000 miles. The are spotless inside and out. Great tread on all 4 tires... -

2007 owners please speak up...
Thanks. I have been looking at the dealer's loaner LR3's (07s) that they have for sale. They keep them as loaners until they have about 5k miles and then sell them. From what I could tell they were spotless inside and out. Tire wear looked good on all of them. I am trying to go the used... -

Thanks. I have had my eye on the LR3 since it came out in 05. Just tying to get some real feedback from owners instead of reading all the bad press (Consumer Reports).
