Looking for a little help. I need some suggestions on some places to tent camp in Outer Banks, NC. Im looking for a place that has a sink and some showers for the lady to freshen up. ( I dont have a choice, so help me out here) I want to do some dune riding in the LR3 and want to obviously do some fishing and camping. Any suggestions would help.

The national park service's Frisco Woods campground is the most scenic down there. Beautiful campsites nestled in the dunes with paths to sparsely traveled beach. I don't know the shower/sink situation.

Frisco Woods Campground (not the park service's one) is on the sound side and has a pool and nicer bathrooms (as in I'm sure they have hot water and sinks, and I can't say for sure with the park service).

Both camp sites are near the Billy Mitchell airstrip road if that helps find things on a map.

I think the KOA campground looks to be pretty cramped and a couple others I have seen have poor bathrooms. BUT, I have not done a lot of camping down there so I can't really speak for most of your options.

Sorry....off topic.
toddjb122...looks like you may be from the OBX area.
Did you purchase from Phillips Land Rover in Virginia Beach? If so...how was the sales process and service dept. so far?

Looking to get a used LR3 from them.

nope, i did call them with a service question once when i was down there.
i wasn't impressed with them on the phone, but, that isn't saying much.

i'm actually up in MD, but head down to OBX quite a bit.
