    Cold air intake...

I have to admit, I'm a player. IMHO, everyone should be able to get on here and discuss how they are making it "thiers" - the essence of what Americans have been doing to their vehicles since they were invented. Someone mentioned the cost of these LR's. Well, as you drive home tonight, look...

    Cold air intake...

I continue to be amazed at how people on here are so quick to tell you to not try things.

    lr3 transmission problem

Can you give a little better explanation of what you mean by slip? What exactly happens?

    Cold air intake...

As the first responder said - the Rover intakes are designed to be sealed for wading purposes. Face it, for most of us, the only wading you are going to see is from the mist thrown up by the car in front of you on the freeway! If you dont/wont wade with yours, start modifying your stock box...

    $160 oil change?

So, it has appeared to me that most people on this site are what I call "check writers" - they pay someone else to do the work. I dont intend to offend anyone, and I certainly realize that there are manyhere that do their own service work. That being said - for basic oil changes, either...

Attaching a flag for OHV area use...

Probably the sturdiest way would be to put a reciever hitch on, and mod a reciever and flag pole. I dont think suction cups will stay on, depending on how fast you intend to run.

Anyone running BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO - 265/65/18 ?

Higher load rating is not it. Every load range D and E that I have ever purchased has been all season traction rated.

Anyone running BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO - 265/65/18 ?

One additional note: going to this tire will accentuate any misalignment your rig might have. Just be prepared to spend the additional $ on an alignment. Also, your speedo will be off by 5% (and there is no ability to correct it).

Anyone running BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO - 265/65/18 ?

I have them, and they dont rub (at least not that we have experienced)

Roverman, dont let those guys discourage you. Its questions like yours that get us innovative and create our own fixes for things.

    Turning off the Nav

Mine requires that I press the settings menu button, then screen off.

    Turning off the Nav

I'd be a little concerned about heat build up when putting a mat over it. I'm no expert on LCD's, but any electronic device emits heat. We, too, get tired of having to turn it off all time - and only use it every once in a while. I turned it down as far as I could, but the glare at night is...

    Suroco Urban Rack

This was my answer to "you cant take it all with you...." This came the weekend after I woke up at 4 am with 2 or three inches of water in the tent while camped on the Washington Coast. My input here is based soley on my observations of what others have done while camping. I have...

A couple pics from our trip to Montana in December

Thanks. We like the tires so far. They induced a bit more steering wander at first, but we just ended up getting an alignment done, so maybe that was taken care of. No rubbing either! I was actually all set to get the Coopers, but ended up with these just because they had them is stock! I...

Talk me out of even considering a Nissan Armada

You never said exactly where you were moving, but I'm not sure how much I'd use beach driving in your evaluation of a vehicle. Up here in Washington, the beach actually has a state highway designation. And you are only allowed to drive in certain areas, and 2wd cars are as frequent as 4WD's...

    BFG AT-KO's 265/65-18

Just an update on this. First, I called the service advisor about getting the recalibration done, and he stated that I needed to make an appointment to have it done. So unitl, I make an appointment, take it for what its worth. Wether he really heard what I asked, and it can be done, only time...

    BFG AT-KO's 265/65-18

By whom? With the size difference I'm looking at, its a 5% slower reading. Speedo will read 60 when going 63, 76 when going 80..... I find it hard to believe that the ECM cant be modified for tire size, especially since they sell them with two different size tires.
