I certainly didn't plan to pay that much to repair this issue... but at the end of the day, my wife and kids are in that car every day. I travel a lot and they had to go on a road trip while I was away so... didn't want to keep guessing. Also, when I saw all the error codes on the reader, they...
The thread is definitely helpful. Update on my situation... I hesitated in ordering the brake switch as I wanted to get the codes read by a Land Rover reader and not play a guessing game. I found a shop nearby that was highly recommended as I just don't want to go to the dealer. Read the...
Cold weather, where the heck are you? Good to know about the messages. The LR seems to drive fine and also seems to have it's kick back since the new battery was installed. I'll order the switch on amazon tonight since it's $23 shipped on Amazon... have a feeling the dealer is higher ;). The...
First off, thank you for the help. This vehicle gets more sensitive by the minute.
All 4 bulbs, brake and tail, are in working order... replaced one a few months ago. All the filaments are also vertical.
Are you both thinking this is likely a brake light switch? If it is, can I ignore the...
It's not the battery light; have never seen that come on.
The message is "HDC Fault System Not Available"... and the amber colored light on the bottom left of the dash lights up; the one that if red tells you not to drive over 30 MPH. Thanks for the advice.
Spoke too soon I guess. The light has come on twice this week but only in the Amber color. Anyone have any other suggestions on what could be causing these fault errors. I have read about a height sensor... where is it and how do you replace it? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the info; I'll keep an eye out on the voltage... good to know that's what will cause the problem.
The Interstate guy did offer the lower H7 but I figured for the $28 difference, why deal with the hassle. He did tell me that they supply the LR dealership so I figured I'd go with...
HDC Fault codes... It's the battery :)
Just thought I'd add my experience. The HDC fault codes appeared over the last few days starting with the amber light indicator. Yesterday, the light turned solid red. After reading all these threads... I checked the battery in my '05 LR3... original...
Anyone have any advice on this? pictures/instructions? I have changed plugs, oil, air filter... want to now tackle the belt. Did on a search on the forums but all I found was comments that it's simple and just to remove the fan cover... just not sure it was in reference to a 2005 LR3 ;)...
Thanks for all the help guys. Oil change, plugs and air filter done. How tough is the serpentine belt?? It looks tough :|
By the way, if anyone is by a Costco, Mobil 1 Synthetic 5/30 is $10 off = US$26.99 for 6 qts!
Any issue with going from standard Castrol 5/30 to say Mobil 1 Synthetic 5/30? Also, do you really have to buy a new drain plug every time. Thanks for the help!
Brake pad replacement instructions anyone?
Thanks to all who replied to the earlier post on pad recommendations. Any chance someone has instructions on how to change them? Any help would be appreciated! :help:
