Just got a 2010 Supercharged RRS...I have the 20" wheels and was wondering if anyone has put any larger tires on them. I would like something taller, wider, and more aggressive if possible...any thoughts?

Skid plates...
The Rasta plates are great...I've got all of them installed except for the front one and that is only because I have a winch. I actually bought it and it didn't fit only to find later that I couldn't install without someone cutting it down a bit. I returned it without problem...
LR3 spare
I searched for a steel spare for months and found nothing. I finally bought a wheel that matched mine (already changed to 18" of course). I also installed the Rasta 4x4 rear wheel carrier which I like a lot.

Lr3
Trackstar,
Glad to hear the LR3 is on your short list. I thought that I'd tell you my thoughts. I absolutely love my LR3. It is the best truck I've ever had. I heard all the talk about reliability and as has already been stated, this is an issue of the past. I've had mine for about...
LR3 Roof Rack
I recently bought the rack from Urban OffRoad and am very happy with it. I had the factory rack which I took off and got this instead. The wind noise is about the same - I don't notice it even with the lamps.

I had the snorkel installed but noticed a significant reduction in power and gas mileage. Thus I want to have it removed...can anyone tell me if this will be big deal with regard to cosmesis of the LR3? I know they had to drill 2 holes in the body to install...any suggestions?

Front skid plate...
I have all the Rasta skid plates but my front plate would not fit due to the winch. I called and they confirmed that you cannot install this one if you have a winch. Oh well.
I'll post some pics once I take some more photos...I just installed the Urban Offroad rack and...
Hello all,
Been a while but I"m still around. I'm having some more things put on my LR3...more under armor, new roof rack from Urban Off-Road, Hella Ralley 4000 roof lamps, and of course a snorkel.
I'll get some pics on here soon.

I am trying to install roof lights like those found on the G4 vehicles. I have been trying to find where Land Rover has these made and with no luck thus far. Based on the G4 page, I know that Hella is the light maker; however, they also had no information.
Any suggestions?

I am still trying to get roof lights for my LR3. I would like the exact same setup as one the G4 vehicles. They are apparently made by Hella and sem to be the "Luminator Compact Metal Xenon driving lights." My challenge is the mounting and wind guard as on the G4. Any suggestions?

Results of dealer inquiry about paint...
I took my LR3 to the dealer on Saturday for evaluation of the spots on the hood. They felt that it was likely due to some type of tree/sap. They buffed and wet sanded it out and it looks great. It did go down to the paint, through the clear coat...
paint...
Thanks so much for the feedback. I am going to talk to the dealership before I try anything. I have no experience with the claybar or Zaino products but perhaps I soon will. My concern is that the crystallized look and/or cracked paint look to me implies that it is much deeper than...
Please help - what is going on with my paint on my hood? I thought it was bug/tar but these photos with a macro lens look like a bit more. It's 4 months old.

Suspension raising slowly...
It happened yesterday and I was showing the suspension to someone, which means I was raising it up and down probably 3-4 + times. The manual did mention that this would happen if the air is depleted from the reservoir. I also was not driviing it around. It was...
Just noticed that my suspension did not look like it was in the height position I thought. I then got a message that suspension was raising slowly. I later got a message that suspension will raise when system cools.
I was demonstrating the suspension to a friend and perhaps caused the...
one more note on the "control rod" - you can see it barely in the photo that I attached previously. The photo that shows the tire in the "open" mode - there is a small rod that is barely noticeable parallel to the rear bumper. When you unlatch and open, it acts to slowly push the tire/carrier...
Rear tire carrier answers...
Here are my answers to your questions:
Does the tire carrier latch open or does it just swing freely?
The latch takes a bit of force to open and close...not enough to be a problem of course but enough to make it truly secure. There is no play in it when...
Rear tire carrier, body armour, etc.......
Here are the photos of my new Rasta equipment. I definitely like the sill protectors better than the factory tubes (which are probably just for looks). The under armour is great but haven't had a chance to "try it out" yet. The rear tire carrier is...
I'll be picking up my LR3 this week with new items installed...rear tire carrier, under body armour and sill protectors (all Rasta 4x4)...will post some pics for all to see.

I'm selling 4 stock 2008 LR3 19" wheels with stock Goodyears...less than 2000 miles. I swapped for 18"s fairly quickly so these are essentially new. They are all in excellent condition. Anyone interested?

19 to 18...
Rob,
Don't have any wheels for you but just wanted to let you know that I just swapped my 19s to 18s and they are amazing. I went with 265/65/18 and couldn't be happier. You didn't ask but I felt inclined to tell.
Good luck.
