Hello-

I just purchased a CPO '06 HSE that is pristine. I had a Disco I and II, and went away from Land Rover for a few years, now I'm back and very happy. LR3 is amazing.

Anyway, I noticed that the DVD in my Nav system is dated 2004. I am considering ordering the new updated 2007-2008 Navteq DVD ($200) direct from the internet link on Land Rover's site. It goes for more like $300 at the local dealership and they said that the only updates would be to major cities and since I live in Arkansas, there were probably no real changes even though our roads have updated in the last few years (like any part of the country). What are your thoughts on this? Worth the upgrade? We do plan to travel, mainly in the south and would like to have accurate local and regional maps.

Thanks

The other potential issue is that the 1791 hack won't work. If you had the 2004 DVD in your 2006, there is a chance that the firmware hadn't been updated yet so you still have the ability to input the 1791 hack to allow destination entry while moving. If you aren't worried about that, I'd definitely go for the latest DVD.
