My vehicle came with 19 inch rims. I was gonna buy an extra set of rims to have trail tires mounted on them so that I could swap them in my garage when I wanted to go trail riding. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can step down to an 18inch rim so that I could gain a little more rubber between the rim and the dirt? If so can anyone recommend a tire size that will not rub on turns and bumps?

...there is a TON of that sort of information on this board, if you dig around.

Yes, you can go down to an 18" tire. The best thing is to get Land Rover rims but there are in fact aftermarket rims that will fit, too. There are plenty of options at that rim size as well, the most popular is the Cooper Zeon LTZ in the 285/60R18 size. There is slight rubbing in some cases and in others there is no rubbing...sorta weird.
