Hi All! Hope you had great holidays!
Well I was inspecting My 1999 HSE Range Rover to see what things I need to fix in the following months. I have been noticing that my car smells allot like antifreeze and I thought it was that I spilled a bit on my trunk area. But I cleaned it and it kept smelling even more strongly. So when I was inspecting my car, I noticed that on the passenger side in the floor just under the glove compartment and close to the foot air duct I have sort of some antifreeze sprayed into the carpet. I cleaned it and after using the heating that day again it was sprayed. I believe there might be a hose of some kind carrying antifreeze behind my dash board.
Is this possible? Or is it possible I might have a leak on my cooling system?

Regarding the strange noise I have been hearing occasionally a loud electronic beeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppeeeeeeee noise while driving that starts and increases and then ceases. It sound sort of like a valve or something behind my dashboard.

Another thing I have been noticing is that when I drive my car there is lots of squeaking going on from the wheels. Normally it is because of the breaks but occasionally it does it while driving. Any idea on what could that be?

And finally, do any of you guys, know how to check if any of the air springs on the car are punctured and have to be replaced?
Thanks for your help in advanced.
Best Regards
JR

My friend, you have a leaky O ring in your heater core. Just like I had in my '99. This is one of the most ******** failures I have ever seen. This O ring's job is to:
A: be compatible with antifreeze.
B: not blow out under 10 psi

Seems pretty darn easy.

It is a $10.00 O ring and they charge about a grand to install. Following is a link to do it yourself if you're handy.

p.s. For only $10,500 I will sell you an O ring and throw in my own '99 se with it!

About air springs, easiest way to check them is just to look their visual condition and spray some soapliquid over them and check possible bubbling.

If they are badly cracked etc etc, it is time to replace them just for preventive maintenance before they go to bad.

Sound from behind dash is strange... if it is more like hissing i would say it is a/c:s expansion valve. Indicates that refrigerant is low. But electrical beeping...?
