Apple CarPlay - 2017 Range Rover Sport

I took my 2017 Range Rover Sport to dealership in 2018 or 2019 for a routine check and was ask by service advisor if I wanted them to update the information system to add the Apple/Android CarPlay. At the time he indicated there would be no cost. I declined at the time since I was in a hurry. Now, I can’t find any information about that upload. All the websites I’ve found indicate that CarPlay only available for 2019 and later models. Is anyone aware of a software or firmware update available to add CarPlay to 2017 model?
