Was just reading on another forum that they don't make this tire anymore. Something about it not being up to ***** with the LR3's load? I just went on coopertire.com and sure enough it's not listed in 285/65/18.

What a shame if it's gone. I need a 5th for a spare, guess I'll see if I can find one now before everyone runs out.

Really? I just had another new one one mounted & balanced from Discount Tire today as a 2nd spare for our upcoming CLRC Expedition Trip. There are some out there... These are great tires for the LR3; I suggest if you're in the market but on the fence, I'd scoop them up while you can!

I was really surprised too. Going to go find a 5th 18" rim and Cooper tire!

Are you sure about that size? I'm only aware that they ever made a 285/60/18, not a 285/65/18. With a 65% sidewall ratio, that would be a 32.8" total diameter, which would be way too big for an LR3, unless you had the shortened rods and modified height I guess. I was one of the first to get the new Zeon LTZ's when they came out. They gave them to us as a sponsor of the Great Divide 2 trip (offroving.com) a couple years ago. We were also considering the Discoverer STT's as an alternative in the 275/65/18 size, but they were too big.

Ah ha you are right! I owe everyone a beer for the scare. The LRO forums got me nervous and then I forgot what size we ran :stupid:
