Looking for a tire good on and off road rain snow etc.. would the Coopers fit the bill? I looked at the mtr but are very bad in the rain.

I have the Coopers and they are a really nice tire and do well in various conditions.

I would only get them though if you are going to use them off road (more then just your forest service gravel roads.) Otherwise the Michelin Synchrones are a nicer road tire but still usable in light off roading.

Yes off road quite often not enough for the MTR but more than enough for the synchrones.

Well like I said the Coopers are a nice tire. The only potential downside I see to them is that the sidewalls aren't as strong as the Nitto Terra Grappler which is another nice tire you can fit on your LR3.

I had both the Nitto TG's and the Coopers, and I like the Coopers a little better. Quiter on road and stickier off road. I've had some unfortunately close side wall rubs on some very sharp rocks, and still no problems or punctures with the side walls on the Coopers. The Nittos come in 2 kinds. The heavy duty ones come with 10 ply side walls. I only had the regular ones. Hope that helps a little.

I've had my Cooper Zeons for over a year and really like them. I have been in rocky areas like Boaz, and they have held up well. Ride is comfortable and they are pretty quiet for an aggressive offroad tire.

I too would recommend the Coopers for the following reasons;
1) Price- cheaper than Nittos and MTRs
2) Quiet on the road.
3) Great traction offroad
