Second post as I'm restricted to 5 pictures.

I did 90% of the design before starting the camper conversion.

I ended up with 84cm from the sleep plane to the roof (without mattress). The headliner was cut out in the rear section to gain more headspace. Not necessary with a panorama roof.

I added a platform that mates to the front runner drawers. We have slept 2 people and a dog and it works. Without the dog it would be better, but it works. ARB fridge in place of the middle seat. The space under the added platform is really excellent for storage and quick access. You can use the small boxes from front runner or stuff bags, etc. This is the way to go. Recommend sleeping with your head at the rear. The next upgrade will add the “emergency” rear hatch pull lever. Then we can exit from the rear of the vehicle rather than the rear doors. If you have a dog on the platform while touring I recommend adding a barrier they can brace against. Going down stepper grades they slide forward and get caught between the platform and front seats.

Frontrunner drawers with custom platform cabinets (2nd row seats out, only 4 bolts per seat to remove). I keep my 50qt ARB fridge in the middle of 2nd row all the time. Exped megamat duo is perfect fit and really comfy. Even better than any of the 4" thick thermarest and other expensive pads I have.

Plenty of head room IMO. Biggest issue sleeping two people would probably just be moving around to get in and out, but would be doable. I just love spreading out in it. I am 6'2" and I don't really even move the front seats forward at all.

Nicely done. I did something similar but covered the fridge with a lid. Then I have a completely flat platform. I like the idea of lids for the sides. Great to see different takes on a great upgrade. Pics above this post.

I slightly raised and leveled the fridge so that its part of the platform. The cabinets wrap around it pretty close. You can't even feel it. That way I can easily open and use the fridge without any extra lids.
