Hello all,

I use my diesel truck as a daily commuter and occasional weekend hauler. Recently, a friend suggested installing an egr bypass kit to cut down on maintenance issues related to clogged EGR valves.

I’m curious if this actually reduces long-term repair costs or just shifts the problem elsewhere. Did anyone notice smoother acceleration or improved MPG after installation?

Also, were there any unexpected side effects like increased exhaust smell or check engine lights?

I want honest user experiences before making a change that could affect reliability and warranty coverage.
