Defender Cruise Control?

Does anyone know if it's possible to put cruise control on a 1997 D90? It wasn't a factory option was it?

I've never seen a bona-fide cruise control, but you can get a hand throttle for it. It mounts on the steering column on the opposite side of the ignition switch.

The hand throttle parts are all available from Craddocks or the like. On a TDi it mounts below the center dash, the spot below the steering column is for the choke for carb'd petrol trucks.
