i cant lock my differential to save my my life. im looking for some suggestions, does the differential have to be in neutral to shift if over to the left and lock it or can you do it in 4WD high/low? if you are rolling in neutral is it easier to engage? i dont know why im having so much trouble with it.

but if its not totally stuck as that link pertains....yes, you need the main gearbox in neutral, then put the differential selector in neutral and move to the left, then put the diff selector into either low or high on the left side and then put your main gearbox back to drive i find it easier to be rolling...very slowly tho, like 3mph or so...

If it is working as designed, you can move the diff lock at any speed up to 45 mph if I recall correctly, in gear moving stopped, it makes not difference. You only have to go to neutral when going High/Low, and it is easier at a very slow moving speed.
