I fitted a cdl lever from a S1 disco to my S2 and all goes well

I had the cdl engaged and started the engine and the traction control and ABS lights come on

I have been told that this would happen and when I disengage the cdl and then start the car the lights all go out

This time they didn't, the abs, traction control and down hill descent remain on
Any advice?

There are 2 times that you can turn on a CDL, before you start you truck or after. If you Engage the CDL before you start your engine, it will automaticly turn off your ABS and traction control. If you engage it after you start your engine, you will still have ABS and T/C. If you are on a trail and don't disengage the CDL before you turn off your engine, upon restarting the ABS and T/C light will come on again.
I hope this make since the way I explained it.

Dear Mike

Dear Mike

Thanks for the advice

I have tried various configurations of starting with CDL disengaged/engaged etc, previously all the lights went out, I did a lot of sand driving and this time they have remained on

I have also installed LPG, which in itself disables the TC and HDC as it takes out the injectors

Any other thoughts before I go to a dealer?

I wouldn't even touch the LPG issue.
On the T/C and HDC it is possible you have thrown a code causing the lights to stay on.
Let me know how it turns out.

how do you find out if a code has been thrown? (this sounds as good explanation)

The only way to find the code in a D2 is to have a dealer or someone with a test book scan your system. I know you didn't want to hear that, sorry.
