disco 2 no reversing lights

my reversing lights are not working on my discovery 2 .
i have had them checked by an auto electrician who tell me there is no power getting to the reversing lights.
has anyone any ideas to what then problem could be:

Bad switch, not sending a signal/voltage to the lights.
