Drawbar choices?

How closely are folks sticking with the owners manual specs of a 9" length with a 1.5" rise? Haven't begun the search yet but any recommendations would be appreciated. It would be nice to have a really snug fit to avoid the knocking noises I get on my Touareg receiver.

I tow a few boat trailers. This is my setup and it seems just right to keep the trailer level. Definitely don't want any drop with the newer style LR hitch mount.

Looks like you might have a half-inch rise or so. I think 1 1/2" is too much for sure.
Think i'll look for neutral position. My Touareg measures 1 1/2" taller than the LR at the hitch and uses a 1 1/2" drop at the ball.
