I got a quote today for an 07 LR3 for an additional 3 years to 100k with Ford ESP premium for $3700 with $100 deductible. I suppose this is average?

I think I paid $2400 for a two-year extension on my original 5-year warranty (7 years total). I'm in year one of the extended portion and it's already paid for itself, easily. It's just nice knowing that the major stuff will be covered, but note that tubes, hoses and anything rubber will not be covered by an extended. I'm suprised they've been covering my control arm bushing replacements, but they have.

We have Easy care and used it once already. Paid $250 for a $2000 repair. It will most likely pay for itself on a technologically advanced rig like the LR3.

I let the warrenty expire in July of 2009. Since then I purchased a BBS Faultmate ($1200). I have had to replace the front bushings and T-Stat out of warrenty (~$250 my cost on parts). The other failures I have had Were damage from offroading. Since I do travel as much as I do into the back country I have to know my rig so if something does happen I can fix it and continue on. Because of this I pretty much do all my own work. Absolutly no regrets so far not extending warrenty and I am now at 62K!

Check Zurich extended warranty. My local LR dealer had issues with Easy Care and switched to Zurich 2 years ago. Havent heard any complaints and will be getting the extanded warranty later this year (14 months left on LR warranty). I quoted Easy care and Ford ESP and the Zurich quotes were slightly lower.

I have SecureCare (I think that's what it's called), paid $2800 for a 3 year 75K policy, covers everything other than normal wear items. My deductible is zero if I take it back to the dealer and $100 if I take it elsewhere.

I've had to use it twice. First for a tranny fault (would have cost me about $700 out of pocket) and second for a suspension fault (in the shop now, so don't know what out of pocket would be). . . . no problems, no issues, no out of pocket $$$, just time in the shop.

I bought my policy through the dealer (LR Denver East). The original policy was $3500 so apparently there is some negotiating room. I bought my 05 LR3 because they offered me the policy otherwise I was leaning towards a '06 CPO LR3.

Here you go everyone, over the past week I did a spreadsheet that compares the top 5 extended warranty coverages I've heard about within these forums. Please keep in mind these quotes are from within the overpriced NYC/NJ/CT area, but at least it's food for thought....... <img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1156/5146906139_00981ff644_b.jpg">
