My recently acquired 2015 LR4 had some Electonic issues. First the Blind Spot Monitor didn't work. A replacement BSM module and some flashes resolved that.
My next issues was the 2 front cameras were not working. The lenses were cracked so that was obvious "water ingress". What I failed to do was check the faults.
I ordered 2 aftermarket new cameras on Amazon. Installed them and had an overload fault and a short fault. So, I went about trouble shooting the wiring. Couldn't find anything definitive with the wiring.
I took the new cameras off and I looked at the connectors on the back. On one of them a pin was bent. I may have bent it when plugging it in, i guess. I was able to straighten out the pin and the cameras work fine.
My lessons learned from this episode was that always check the faults codes regardless of what you think is the defective part. Then check after replacing the part.
