Hello everyone, I figure I'd get this started right. I just today bought myself a project 1997 Range Rover 4.6 HSE. It's a running project vehicle that will certainly require it's healthy quantity of time and effort to get back on the road. It has a severe oil leak at the rear main seal, bad enough that you can watch the puddle form under it when it's running. As such it was brought home on a trailer. I did get to hear it run, and it doesn't make any nasty sounds or smokes. The body is straight and solid, so I think I have a great foundation to start with. I know little about them other than their reputation, so I'll have plenty to learn. I'm sure I'll have a bazillion questions to ask as I look for replacements for broken stuff and sort out the issues.
As for me, I'm just another anonymous and more than slightly eccentric middle aged guy who likes to tinker with stuff. My profile pic is a hint to my other passion, and I'm often referred to as Wolfy by my friends who share in my same hobby.
Without further adeu, here's a pic of the old beastie sitting in it's new spot.
