Finally pulling the plug and getting some ATRs for my LR3.

I was planning on having Tirerack deliver to my dealer, as I'm much more comfortable knowing that they will get installed correctly, the full undercarriage/suspension will get an inspection, and at $29/ tire it is pretty much comprable to anyone else. However, due to ATR availability from Tirerack I'd have to wait an extra week.

TireVan can come to my work this week and install the tires I want. The price will end up being the same. The convenience can't be beat, but if they're a problem company to deal with I know it won't be worth the headache.

So, curious if anyone has used them. Last time I went to the Germantown, MD NTB and they were a pain in the butt. Will never use them again.

'preciate any feedback!

Wow, that's a good idea. Let us know what you decide and how it turns out.

This place is great. Used them last week. The driver showed up, was polite, spoke English, confirmed what he was going to perform, showed me my new tires and took care of things while I went back in the office. Will definitely use them again because you just can't beat the convenience.

The TireVan was actually late. I had a NOON appointment and the prior vehicle was taking longer than expected so he called me and didn't show up until about 1:30. Daniel called me again when he was on the way. So here's the thing, if I was getting this done at NTB I would have spent those 90 minutes getting lied to and watching bad daytime television while getting frustrated with the delay. With TireVan it was not an issue, I was at work all day anyway. When he showed up I wasn't angry, he didn't have to rush, it was a great situation.

TireVan didn't have the Pirelli ATR tires I needed in stock so I ordered them through TireRack and had them shipped to TireVan. Ended up saving money because I didn't have to pay sales tax on the tires. TireVan charges you $5 more per tire if you don't buy from them, but it was still a savings. They didn't seem to have any problem with the LR3 air suspension and told me how to "reset" it after he had jacked it up. I don't actually know if it is required, but he suggested I raise it all the way, then all the way down, then set at normal. Did it, no issues, no error lights. Truck rolls fine.

Glad it worked out. You have a good point about not having to wait in some lounge where the vending machine is your only company. They don't offer the service here yet, but I would think this would catch on.

Todd,

Thanks for sharing your TireVan experience through this forum. We certainly appreciate the positive note and are sorry that we weren't able to come out at the originally committed time. We certainly appreciate your understanding and hope to provide an even timely service next time around.
